ELVIS PRESLEY is a star known and loved by millions across the world - and here is everything we know so far about the upcoming biopic about his life.

However, given filming is only starting at the beginning of 2020, that will make it tough to edit in such a short space of time.
As a result, the new release date was revealed to be October 1, 2021, after it was announced that their perfect Elvis had been found.

Who is in the cast of the Elvis Presley biopic?
Earlier this year it was announced that Austin Butler, of Nickelodeon and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood fame, would be taking on the iconic role of Elvis Presley.
The Independent reported he was chosen from a list of five contenders, which also included Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Miles Teller.
Warner Bros execs have also revealed this story will not only focus on the performer, but also on his life and relationship with Col. Tom Parker, who will be played by Tom Hanks.

Other than these two, Olivia DeJonge, a young actress, will play Priscilla Presley, while more actors are yet to be confirmed.
Australian director Baz Luhrmann will helm the film, making it his first since his adaptation of The Great Gatsby back in 2013.

What is the plot of the Elvis Presley biopic?
According to Warner Bros, the film will follow Presley’s life over 20 years, including “Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving
cultural landscape and the loss of innocence in America.”

It is also expected to “delve into the complex dynamic” between Presley and Parker, though it is unclear whether the film intends to shed a sympathetic light on Presley’s manager,
given the tumult of their relationship.

As the rest of the cast is announced, fans will also get a greater sense of which events will be included in the biopic.

As well as that, given Luhrmann’s ability to create impressive musicals such as Moulin Rouge!, it is unclear whether this film will be in a similar format or, instead, be played as a
straight-forward drama.

It would seem strange to portray Elvis without any music, so fans can likely expect some of their favourite tunes to crop up.

Is there a trailer for the Elvis Presley biopic?
At present, filming has not begun for the biopic, meaning there will likely be a wait for the first trailer.

However, fans can expect to see images from set over the next few months as filming begins, before the inevitable trailers begin to circulate nearer the end of 2020.
The currently unnamed Elvis Presley biopic is expected to hit cinemas on October 1, 2021.
