GREAT News for fans of the Elvis and Royal Philharmonic collaborations.

We first reported this, right here on EER back in May 2016, when the managing director of the RPO revealed that the world famous Orchestra was to be rejoining Elvis in the studio
in then up coming weeks to start work on recording a new Christmas album. Well, here we are a year later and that is finally taking place.

The sessions are currently taking place at Studio 2 in Abbey Road Studios, London where the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are recording new tracks for upcoming Elvis’ and Roy
Orbinson’s Christmas titles.

The only information we have at this time is the working title, which is 'Elvis At Christmas' (let's hope for a more imaginative title?). The release of the album is currently planned for
November with selected performances being chosen as part of the set list of the UK concerts during the tour.

To help get the orchestra members into the Christmas feel, producers have adopted what Elvis' himself did when recording festive songs in the middle of Summer. Elvis would have
a Christmas tree complete with decorations and colourful lighting set up to help them get the whole studio in the mood.

We'll bring you more information as and when news is revealed. Let's hope the 3rd album will continue the run of success and bring Elvis his first ever UK Christmas #1 album.
