LEXINGTON — A special performance of “A Tribute to Elvis ‘56,” will mark the 60th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s visit to Lexington.

The Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce, Lexington Tourism Authority, Uptown Lexington and the J. Smith Young YMCA are teaming up to offer the concert, which features a
national concert group retracing Presley’s appearance footprint.

The group features Cody Ray Slaughter with David Fontana and the Hillbilly Katz and introducing Samantha Arrowood Chambliss.

The concert will take place at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at the Edward C. Smith Civic Center, 217 S. Main St., Lexington.

This will be the only show in the area.

For tickets, call (336) 236-4218, (866) 604-2389 or visit the Lexington Visitors’ Center on the Square, next to Conrad & Hinkle.

Organizers expect the concert to sell out, so they encourage those interested in attending to purchase tickets soon.
