WHAT THE HECK?

Elvis Express Radio News
Well, an early phone call from Tony 'News Hound' Stuchbury greeted me with bemused laughter at the latest FUBAR situation in the wonderful world of the zany adventures of Elvis
Presley Enterprises.

Now then, in the recent past we, the fans have come across the occasional "questionable claim" from the keepers of the Kings treasures. We've had the not so authentic "Elvis
owned TCB Pendent on display at the 'Elvis At The O2' exhibit. The huge Elvis photo cut-out used to advertise his first Vegas engagement in 1956 unveiled for the worlds press as
the original....BUT, in reality it was a smaller version recreated by an artist in 1981 for the Memphis premier of the movie, 'This Is Elvis'.

And so on, but what's going on now?

'The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum' in Cleveland, Ohio has on display a gold lamé suit which is on loan from Elvis Presley Enterprises who claim that the suit is the
very suit that Elvis Presley wore during the filming of the historic 1968 NBC TV Special 'ELVIS' (aka The '68 Comeback Special') HUH?

How on earth can this be a serious claim? What is wrong with the archivists at the RnR Hall of Fame, let alone the archivists at EPE? Anyone can see the jackets are NOT the same!
You don't have to be a fully trained Archivist to spot the issues surrounding EPE's claims.

Let's look closely at what EPE say is the suit from the TV Special....The jacket Elvis wore in the 1968 TV show (middle) has a BLACK trim and 2 black buttons on the single breast.
While the EPE display suit is a double breasted thing and....well, NOTHING like the jacket Elvis wore in 1968 and neither is the suit anything like any other suit Elvis wore in, well,
anything....EVER!!

As we now know, on Monday, Elvis Presley Enterprises filed a lawsuit against the Westgate. One thing the Westgate did which they should not have is shutting off the video feed
from the security cameras. -
“Without the video, EPE cannot confirm whether the artifacts were damaged, switched out, or otherwise misused,” the complaint alleges.... Are they
having a laugh?

From the farce that is this Gold Suit at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame maybe the Westgate can use it as defence when EPE accuse them of swapping something out or devaluing
authenticity?

So the other BIG question still remains.....Is the rather awful looking suit actually anything to do with Elvis or not? Maybe the archives are now mixing up IMP suits or merchandise
samples with the authentic Elvis treasures?       What Now? What Next? WTF?

WHAT NOW? WHAT NEXT? WTF?
