TEMPLE RISER FOUND - “The moment he came into the studio, I was in awe”
For many years, the name Temple Riser was a bit of a mystery in the Elvis world. Not much
was known about the dark-haired beauty with the deep, strong voice other than the fact that
she had sung backup for Elvis at his early 70s Nashville sessions, and that she got to record
a duet with Elvis live in the studio on ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’. Her whereabouts
were unknown, and it seemed like she had simply vanished off this planet. Nobody seemed
to know where she was located or whether she was still amongst us. Earlier this year, Elvis
expert Arjan Deelen decided to try and locate her, and just a few weeks ago, his research
paid off when he found her alive and well and even looking pretty much the way she did 40
years ago!

Temple Riser, who is now 63, feels that she has been blessed in life, and cites working with
Elvis and singing at President Nixon’s inauguration as her (singing) career highlights. About
meeting Elvis for the first time, she says: “I was a little stuck up… I didn’t want to give him the
impression that I was starstruck. But the moment he came into the studio, I was in awe… He
had such a charisma about him, and he was so handsome. And he was very flirtatious!”, she
says with a smile.

When asked about her nicest memories of him, she answers: “There’s several… I
remember that he invited me and Ginger & Mary (Holladay) to come to his hotel room in
Nashville - and we did. He was just so nice to us. Very easy to talk to, very talkative. He
grabbed his guitar and we sang Gospels together. He didn’t sing any of his hits, just Gospel
music… he loved that”.

About the duet, she says: “He asked me to do the duet with him. He was really having a good
time while we recorded it. I just tried to do the best I could. You know, I used to be
embarrassed about it. I didn’t think I sounded so good. These days with the internet it’s
turning up everywhere, and people ask me about it. I’m proud of the fact that I got to sing with
Elvis Presley. It doesn’t get any better than that!”.

The really exciting news is that Temple Riser will be joining the ’Original Elvis Tribute’ show
together with a.o. Mary and Ginger Holladay for a Euro tour in May 2013!

“People have told me that the Elvis fans in Europe know about me, and I have always said:
‘You’ve got to be kidding!’. I’m really excited about coming to Europe for the very first time, and
meeting the fans and performing for them. We may even do that duet, ‘The First Time Ever I
Saw Your Face’. Hopefully, I will do a better job on it this time around!”, Temple laughingly
says. “It’s a priviledge to be able to pay tribute to the greatest performer ever and I will do my
best to make this tour memorable for the fans. See you all in May 2013!”.

‘Original Elvis Tribute’ production, please contact Arjan

ELVIS TREASURES LAWSUIT REVIVED IN APPEAL - An appeals court yesterday
allowed the heirs of a long time friend of Elvis Presley's to go forward with a lawsuit over Elvis
memorabilia they claimed was stolen and auctioned off, Reuters reports.

John Tate and Normal Deeble, the heirs to Presley pal and fan club president Sterling Gary
Pepper, had filed the lawsuit in 2009 over $218,000 in auction proceeds. The pair, taking on
the suit in place of their late cousin, accused Pepper's former caretaker Nancy Pease White
of stealing the memorabilia when Pepper moved to a disabled home.

An Iowa district court had ruled Pepper's family took too long to file the lawsuit and refused to
block the auction, which pulled in $1,400 for two dried white roses from Presley's funeral,
$15,000 for hair that was cut when Elvis enlisted in the Army and $28,000 for a red suede
jacket worn by Elvis.

Deeble told the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals that her family were unaware of the memorabilia'
existence and thus were unable to file the lawsuit earlier than they did, and a three-judge
panel agreed to revived the case and send it back to the lower court.

The $218,000 in proceeds, along with a painting of Elvis and EX-wife Priscilla, are being held
by a third party while the case proceeds.

A BOY FROM TUPELO NUMBERS - Elvis Australia report that the total number of print
run for the monster Sun collection, 'A Boy From Tupelo' is just 3000 copies. Elvis Australia
have had it on good authority that the FTD label realise that have not produced nearly enough
of the sets.

The FTD label  themselves have said right at the start that they
'had to gamble on the print
run'
- meaning they had to decide a number to make and could not alter it.

Demand for this set is extraordinarily high, and Elvis.au can attest to that with pre-orders
being 30-40% higher than normal releases that are a fraction of the price. [If you add in the
cost factor the set is easily FTDs biggest selling item to-date for pre-orders].

Even though only 3000 copies have been produced there will NOT be a reprint - and many
fans will then decide - too late - that they want one.

We can only agree with Elvis Australia when they say
"This IS the holy grail of Elvis Presley,
his genius moment , the very origin of modern music. A MUST HAVE ITEM. What we have is a
book that has been years in the making, researching, finding new photo after new photo and
unearthing new facts about the years 1953 - 1954 - 1955"

ELVIS BIRTHPLACE UNVEILING - In four days, the public will get its first glimpse of the

"Literally, they've got to work all weekend to be anywhere close to ready," said Dick Guyton,
executive director of the birthplace.
Guyton and the Elvis Presley Memorial

million expansion in April 2011.

The first phase of the project doubled the
parking lot, added a 120-seat theater,
created a 75-seat amphitheater, expanded

LMP LOVES SUSSEX LIFE - News is in that Lisa Marie Presley loves to be home in our
beautiful Sussex countryside and even enjoys hanging out at our favourite animal park,
Drusillas.

Lisa Marie Presley has also become a regular in the pub near her home in the county.

Visitors to the drinking hole – the aptly named King’s Arms near Crowborough  are all shook
up because Lisa Marie has been popping in and out. She has also been spotted with her
three-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley and husband Michael Lockwood at Drusillas
Park.

Calling the pub yesterday, a member of staff said:
“Of course she comes in. She is not here
at the moment though as she is in America.”
Landlady Kim Scales, who Lisa Marie is said to
be good friends with, refused to comment.

In an American magazine, Lisa Marie said she loved Sussex life. She said last month:
“I never got that social aspect to village life until I lived here in England. There are lots of pubs
near where we live in Sussex, but there’s one that’s become my local. I love that I can walk in
there and see everyone in the village and chat and say hello to people"

TUPELO ELVIS FEST POSTS PROFITS - The organizers of the Tupelo Elvis Presley
Festival
on Tuesday said the 2012 event made about $68,200.

The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association puts on the June festival, which includes Elvis
events at the Lyric Theatre and concerts in Fairpark. At the monthly board meeting Tuesday,
the treasurer reported net income from this year's festival was
$68,203.55.

"It's a very good figure," said treasurer Paul Mize Jr. "We stepped it up. We made money on
the Elvis Fest and got people downtown."
The festival made about $70,000 last year, as well.

Past President Jim Goodwin last year campaigned to increase the entertainment budget to
get bigger names on the stage. This year,
Paul Thorn headlined Friday night in Fairpark and
country act
Little Big Town headlined Saturday night.

The bigger entertainment acts, combined with the unusually mild June weather, paid off.

"We increased attendance 80 percent," Goodwin said. "We spent more to get there. We knew
we were going to spend more. We returned about the same amount as last year. We're not
trying to add money to the bottom line or else we'd have $10 beers. We wanted to get people
downtown. I think it's mission accomplished."

The board plans to continue with bigger entertainment acts. At its board retreat July 27,
members voted to increase the Elvis Fest entertainment budget to $90,000. It plans to spend
about $15,000 for Friday and $75,000 for Saturday.

E.E.R ON NEW RADIO STATION - Visitors to our
friends at Covent Garden Radio will be aware of a few
problems at this time....But don't worry.

Here is the announcement on their site;
"....due to technical
difficulties with our servers, Covent Garden Radio is
currently off air, please accept our apologies,"

The good news is that 'Radio Basingstoke' have taken on
our 3 hour program and while keeping us in the Sunday
slot, the station will be broadcasting the 'Elvis Request
Show' at the earlier time of 9:00am till Midday.
Starting with the winter holiday in 1968/1969 and ending with the very first real tour of the USA
in years at the end of 1970; all that and in between is shown on this very nice DVD.

Using movies, home movies, news reels all is supported by the reel voice and music of Elvis
Presley. There is a lot to see on this DVD and even for the most hardcore fan  very rare
footage is included. Images not everybody will have on their minds on a daily basis.

The home movies are fantastic: especially the images of Elvis on a horse in the summer of
1970 at Graceland. With patience and thought he gives the many fans surrounding him all
the attention and autographs. Quite special and very complete footage.

Great and insightful to watch is the February 1970 press conference footage. Also on the
DVD the colour home movie at American Sound Studio, 1969, the summer holiday at Hawaii
from the same year (very complete!) and fantastic amateur footage from the November tour in
1970. Quality of the used footage varies but this compilation is obviously made with care and
attention.

A nice bonus is chapter two: here we get a complete as possible concert from August 1970 –
after the MGM crew has left Vegas. Clips shot from the audience, supported by audience
recordings to give a complete as possible picture. It really does give you the feeling of what it
was like to be there in the showroom, even if sometimes the footage appears a little dark.

The concept of this DVD together with the variation in images/footage used with the real
music of Elvis makes this DVD highly enjoyable. Much more then the recent JAT releases of
‘Hot Shots & Cool Clips’.

E.E.R SYNDICATED - I am proud to announce that our longest running show, The Elvis
Request Show is now being syndicated on radio stations across the UK.

I never thought I would see the show I started so long ago become a show syndicated on
radio stations around the UK meaning we can bring the music of the original and true King of
Pop to many listeners new and old.

One of the things that I'm proud of is that by having the show syndicated we can bring the Elvis
sounds to more and more listeners. With our first station, Covent Garden Radio, we averaged
around 180,000 listeners and now we are added to 3 more stations with another 2 coming
online soon, you have to wonder how many listeners will we be getting from now on?

Apart from bringing Elvis' classic and historical recordings, E.E.R will be presenting those
talented fans who have brought the Kings greatest recordings into a 21st century sound by

THE REBEL & THE KING - “I would rather live one day as
a lion, than a thousand years as a lamb. A very great man
once made that statement.  And that was the first thing that
came to my mind when I sat down to write this story about
Elvis.”  Nick Adams, 1956

Elvis Presley had just exploded on the American scene and
was filming his first movie,
Love Me Tender, when he
introduced himself to
Nick Adams on the backlot of 20th
Century Fox.

Nick was a struggling actor, part of the Rebel Without A Cause
gang and showed Elvis the town, introducing him to Natalie
Wood.

Nick was infamous for writing about his famous friends and now the POSTHUMOUS
PUBLICATION of Nick Adams’ raw, unedited manuscript,
The Rebel & The King, details his
close friendship and whirlwind eight days in Memphis with Elvis, during the famous singer’s
Tupelo Homecoming the summer of 56.

Nick Adams’ daughter, Allyson Adams is responsible for the posthumous publishing of this
book. As an editor and WaterDancer Press Publisher, she couldn’t let her father’s story go
untold. In the book’s foreword she explains:
“I have found my father’s story about Elvis to be
the last glimpse of innocence before the end of an era. The Rebel & The King is straight from
the horse’s mouth, as if Nick and Elvis are speaking from the grave. As soon as I read it, I
knew I needed to share it with the world.”

The large green chair at Dolan was Elvis' from Graceland?
2 White Lions at the home were from Graceland?
And many other stories involving Elvis Presley at the home?

You can hear Dee interviewed on this weeks 'Elvis Request  Show', but her answers to Joe's
questions will all be presented as we transcribe it for you which will be online very soon.

THE KING IN COFFEE - Staff at DFS Hawaii set a new
world record last week with a heavily caffeinated creation:  a
portrait of Elvis Presley consisting of
5,642 cups of coffee in
10 different shades.

The portrait (16 feet wide, 25 feet long) of Presley is from his
movie star days, during the filming
Blue Hawaii (1961). At that
time, the icon was 25 years old and looking his handsome,
alluring best.

DFS Hawaii staff used a digital printout of the image as a
guide for the placement of varying shades of coffee. An official
adjudicator from GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS observed
the mosaic’s construction and verified its status as the world's
largest coffee-cup mosaic.

Over the weekend, the shimmering Blue Hawaii Elvis mosaic
gradually clouded and is now no longer on display.

Its assembly, however, was recorded for the records book.
Click on the "official attempt"  image right to check out a fun
and fast-paced DFS Hawaii video that tracks the making of the
cup-of-joe creation.

photo of one of our loyal listeners standing at
Graceland. Grant Baensch toured Elvis' home
while wearing an E.E.R t-shirt and baseball cap
which he had made to promote the show to fans
in Memphis.

Grant tells us he had several fans stop to ask him
all about E.E.R and I'd like to thank him for his
help in making more fans aware of the shows.

SOME TUPELO TROUBLES - While fans are
celebrating the addition of the fantastic FTD SUN Box
'A Boy From Tupelo' to their collections, some are
facing a battle to replace copies which have arrived
in a very poor condition.

I've been contacted by one fan who bought a copy of
the £100 + box and upon opening the set, he found
the book had several problems.

Pages 253 to 299 have all been folded over, but
even worse is the news that pages 265 through to
276 are upside down and back to front, therefore
from page 264 not only are the pages folded you
also jump to page 276 upside down!

I cannot help but feel sorry for Ernst Jorgensen as
the set has been a real labour of love over the last
several years has some really unnecessary faults.

So how will these screw ups be resolved? We all
know this set weighs a lot which means costs a lot
to post, but why should the customer have to pay out
in order post it back to the store / dealer?

Then of course, why should the dealer be out of
pocket re the postage which is what they already have to replace faulty discs, while FTD sit
back and allow the fan clubs, dealers, fans suffer the costs. Lets hope this gets sorted out
and soon. More details as and when we get them.

35 YEARS GONE - Another August 16th is upon us and still we remember him through
his amazing music, his concerts and his movies. Elvis, We miss you and will never forget you.

E.E.R regulars, Carol & Brenda found this wonderful tribute to Elvis on an online forum and
written by someone called Ken.

On this 35th anniversary year since Elvis died I wanted to point out how ironic it is that:
there are still millions of fans,
more fan clubs than any other artist,
more impersonators than any other artist,
more total record sales than any other artist,
still one of the most recognized faces on the planet,
still selling music and videos,
still known the world over by his first name.....etc....

Why is this ironic?
Because from day one-he was considered "a flash in the pan"
The great one Jackie Gleason said "I tell you frankly he cannot last"
Sullivan said he would never appear on his show
Steve Allen put him on and made fun of him thinking he was untalented (Allen hated rock)

Preachers and churches called him Devil incarnate-or Satans tool..... and attacked him from
the pulpit.
Irving Berlin did not want him to record "White Christmas" because he didn't want it sang in a
rock style.
Some white Americans panned him "for singing race music"

He was drafted and the people who hated him hoped that was his end.
He survived the 2 years away from music and came back on top.
He survived the movies that progressively got lower in quality and musical standards.
He survived 9 years without performing live.
He survived the Beatles and the British invasion.
He survived the sometimes horrific career direction of Col. Parker.

Lastly his spirit of charima and the talent that made him the one and only ELVIS has survived
his physical death.

I hope we all remember the many obstacles that he surmounted over his life and
career.....today to some they may seem trivial-but in his life and time they were hard to
overcome.

ELVIS LIVES!!!

LISA MARIE TO DUET WITH ELVIS FOR 35TH - In honour of the 35th anniversary of
Elvis' death, Lisa Marie will debut a new collaboration with the King of Rock 'n' Roll at
Thursday night's tribute concert at the FedExForum in downtown Memphis. While the song
she chose is being kept under wraps -- Lisa Marie wants it to be a surprise for fans at the
show -- the singer did reveal that it was produced by Grammy and Oscar winner T-Bone
Burnett.

"Every five years, I try to do a special tribute," LMP told The Hollywood Reporter. Her last
tribute was a "duet" with Elvis of
"In the Ghetto," released in 2007. Proceeds from the single
benefited the Presley Place Transitional Housing Campus in New Orleans, where the video
was shot.

She added that she sought Burnett's advice this time around.

"He found this sweet, amazing song off [Elvis'] first record, and we went into the studio and
harmonized a little bit,"
she said. "For me, it was important this year to do something where it
wasn't about me singing or a duet. I just wanted it to be something really sweet."

So, the clue is the song chosen for the Duet was taken from Elvis' first album, meaning it
could be one of the following: I'm Counting On You, I Love You Because, I'll Never Let You Go
(Little Darlin') or Blue Moon? We'll know very soon.

EX & DAUGHTER'S FIRST CANDLELIGHT VIGIL - The ex-wife of Elvis, Priscilla, and
their daughter Lisa Marie attended the annual candlelight vigil in Memphis for the first time
ever on Wednesday (August 15th 2012) for the 35th anniversary of the legendary rock 'n'
roller's passing.

The pair have always avoided the tribute event that takes place at Elvis' mansion, Graceland,
where he lived, died and was buried. Every year since 1980, tens of thousands of Elvis fans
gather at the building to pay their respects to the late singer by lighting candles, laying
flowers and wreaths at his grave and mourning his death.

The event runs into Thursday morning with an expected turn-out of 75,000 people. Vigil-goers
were shocked when Priscilla and Lisa Marie turned up on a stage just inside Graceland's
walls. They expressed their deepest gratitude and love for the fans' dedication and adoration
for their lost loved one and Priscilla described it as simply amazing.
'This is something that
Elvis would never, ever have believed could have taken place here',
she told the crowd.

Lisa Marie confessed her reasons for not attending any of the earlier vigils but seemed
overcome with emotion at the sight of so many passionate fans of her father's.
"I've always
avoided this because I felt that it would be too emotional"
, she told them. "But I really felt it
was important to come down here tonight. I love you very, very, very much"
.

Those influenced by the hip-swinging rock 'n' roll icon of the 50s and 60s had flocked from
not only various parts of the United States, but from across the world just to celebrate his
music and life.

Elvis died on August 16th 1977 at the age of just 42 following an addiction to prescription
drugs which caused him to develop glaucoma, high blood pressure and liver damage
among other things, eventually suffering a fatal heart attack at his home.

LAS VEGAS CANDLELIGHT VIGIL - Here's a cool
picture sent in by our good friend Sue, from the Las Vegas
Elvis Fan Club.

Here is what Sue had to say about the vigil,:
"I have sent
you a photo of my club's vigil last night , something we like
to do while the vigil is happening in Memphis. We had a
lovely group of people in attendance. You will see a large
vase & bouquet of flowers  in the photo. A Japanese fan
brought them!

I am so glad we could do this vigil even though we can't be
in Memphis. And considering the compliments I received
for the ceremony, we did do something special for those
who attended."
Well done Sue her members for keeping
Elvis' Vegas light burning bright.

THE ELVIS & LISA DUET - E.E.R listener Grant Baensch reports that during last nights
35th Anniversary Concert, fans were treated to Elvis and Lisa Marie performing the early SUN
ballad,
'I Love You Because' with a feature on Elvis' grandchildren.  It was just beautiful and
the crowd went crazy.

The concert lasted over 3 hours and this time round was brought to an end, NOT with the
same old Can't Help Falling In Love, instead it was
"If I Can Dream" and it brought the house
down.

MORE REHEARSALS ON WAY - At the SONY/FTD presentation held during Elvis Week,
Ernst spoke about how he hunted for the rehearsal tape which he recently released on the
FTD  label entitled
‘From Hawaii To Las Vegas'‘.

Don Lance owned the tape and he worked at the Hilton during this time and when he heard
Elvis and his band rehearsing, so he left his tape recorder running on a table & would go
back for it a little later on.

After Elvis' death in 1977, he remembered the tape and would eventually offer all his tapes  to
RCA and Joan Deary in the 1980s but for some unknown reason they were not interested. So
what about those "tapes".....well at this presentation, Ernst did confirm that there is at least
two more unreleased Elvis rehearsals which will see a release on FTD very soon.

MEMPHIS MAFIA JACKET FOR SALE - Once more on ebay
fans have an opportunity to own something from the Memphis Mafia
and this is the description on the ebay page...

"This jacket from Elvis' Memphis Mafia, is only one of six ever made
it belongs to Elvis Presley insider, Sheri Lacker (daughter of Elvis'
co-best man, Marty Lacker).

The other five jackets were the only personalized jackets owned by
Marty, Billy Smith and three other original members of Elvis'
Memphis Mafia.
Sheri designed the Memphis Mafia logo and was honored with the only other jacket made.

The coat is styled like a football "letter-man's" jacket with leather-like sleeves and soft woolen
body in black with red embroidered lettering and logos. The jacket is an XL, with an interior of
red satin lining, and made by the same Hollywood, CA designer that created the other five
jackets. The jacket will come with a letter of authentication signed by Sheri Lacker.

This is a rare chance to own an authentic piece of Elvis Presley entourage history. In the 35
years since Elvis' passing, all types of items of questionable authenticity have flooded the
marketplace. Here is a 100 % real item that can be traced directly to a documented long-time
member of Elvis' inner-circle "family."

As of today there are 6 days left of the auction which has a starting bid of $1,000.00 or a buy it
now figure of $1,500.00 - If you're interested in this then just

Time Greatest Hits' No. 7 the previous year. Elvis Presley : 50 Australian Top Ten Hits
1956-1977
debuted at No. 9 in January 2010.

The
'Elvis By Request' album contains the 40 favourite Elvis songs as voted for by his
Australian fans. To debut at No. 4 is a most remarkable achievement particularly at this time
of year.

While the album has benefited from some very clever marketing from Sony Music [with more
to come], all the promotion in the world won't sell a turkey, so clearly the concept has
appealed as we expected it would. So with a great concept, title, cover art, fan picked track
listing and the massive media coverage of the release on August 16 we have Elvis riding
high on the charts once more.

HOW MUCH LOWER? - I may well be on my own
here or in a minority, but who the hell would want to
stoop so low as to try to make money out of selling Elvis'
underpants?

The news of the upcoming auction being held by UK
based 'Omega Auctions', has hit the media and now
brings headlines like
'Elvis undies go on sale, stains
and all'.....It's thanks to sick tatt crap like selling Elvis Presley's old underwear that continues
to help the media and the general public look upon Elvis as some kind of comedy figure.

In another tabloid report, the main focus of the auction is of course the underwear which
reads,
"still soiled with stains from Presley's last tour where he would soil himself which
these briefs clearly show. Presley wore these beneath one of his white jumpsuit's during a
performance in 1977"
. ....It's the "soiled with stains" that draw the tabloids and the Elvis
knockers to use this kind of thing against Elvis like sharks to fresh chum.

Other items in the auction include  The final burial - an original piece from tiles removed from
the mediation garden at Graceland in 1977 to make room for Elvis` burial.

Elvis Presley`s personally owned and used Holy Bible 1957-1977 with Elvis` handwriting and
underlining throughout.

14ct Gold TCB Pendant Chain/Necklace owned by Elvis and is one of the original Schwartz
and Ableser TCB pendant necklaces. Elvis later gifted this necklace in 1975 to one of his
close friends.

Also on sale is 16mm film footage from Priscilla's personal home movies of Elvis & during
1979 she gave a company her 8mm reels of her private family films of Elvis. The footage was
put together onto this 16mm reel.

The 16mm footage lasts for 17 minutes and 2 seconds and claims to include footage never
seen by the public? It starts off with Priscilla walking over to a old stage waggon in the
dessert, just outside Las Vegas and she explains that these are her most precious
memories of the days she had with Elvis, taken from Priscilla`s own personal home movies
of Elvis, especially of vacations and Lisa growing up, footage of their wedding and the very
first time Elvis and Priscilla brought their daughter home to Graceland from the hospital,
Christmas inside Graceland and so many other family moments.

Also included is a DVD of the full footage that is on the reel. The DVD was put together in front
of witnesses with full security so no unauthorised copies were made. As a fan of Elvis, this is
a DVD I would love to see, if only to dispel my own doubts about the footage and the claims of
it containing NEVER BEFORE SEEN footage? All the footage described we have already
seen on various DVD releases from EPE and would a 16mm reel of footage compiled from
several 8mm reels of home movies really have 'Commentary' by Priscilla???

The full catalogue and auction will be streamed live from the auction room in Stockport at
www.omegaauctions.co.uk on September 8th.

UNSEEN ELVIS, KNOXVILLE STYLE - KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT) - To say Elvis Presley
is a huge part of John Stansberry's world is an understatement.

From newspapers to 500 dollars in postage stamps with the face of Elvis, Stansberry has
collected a lot of memorabilia. But it's what he captured with his camera 40 years ago that
he's most proud of.

John shot film of Elvis when he visited Stokely Athletic Center in 1972, 1974, and 10 months
before Elvis died in 1977. The film is a little grainy, a little fuzzy but clear enough to know it's
Elvis Presley. Only the family has known about the secret film until now.

John Told Local 8 News Anchor Alan Williams,
"I got stopped coming out, I didn't get stopped
going in, they asked if I had a movie camera, I said yes, they wanted to know where the film
was and they took the camera and opened it up and there was no film in it. It was in my
daughter's pocket book."................"I didn't lie about it!."

Stansberry's daughter, Melissa was beside herself. "He came out on stage, he always would
bow and the music would play we had binoculars and I got the binoculars that moment of
seeing him for the first time he pulled his cape out, that's embedded in my memory."

"That was a time before you had Ipods, You tube, MTV, and VH1 if you got to see an
entertainer that you only could hear on the radio, that was big stuff."

The Elvis mystique lives on through another generation, Stansberry's granddaughter carries
Elvis tunes on her Ipod.  A king of the past is still king in the hearts and minds of millions of
fans. John Stansberry has proof.

Stansberry is willing to sell his collection of film footage if the right price comes along and the
family always take January 8th off as a holiday to celebrate Elvis' birthday. (

35 YEARS ON & THE PLOT TO STEAL ELVIS' BODY - On this day, Aug. 29, in
1977, three men were arrested and charged with trying to steal Elvis Presley's body. As a
result the singer's body was moved to Graceland.

The thieves' plan was to ransom the corpse for $10 million, but the plot was foiled when one
of the thieves, an FBI informant named Ronnie Lee Adkins, tipped Memphis police and a TV
reporter to the scheme.

The charges were dropped after the prosecutor declared that Adkins was too unreliable.

Twenty-five years later, Adkins confessed that a Shelby County deputy Billy Talley staged the
corpse-snatching hoax so the Presley family could convince county officials to allow them to
move Elvis to Graceland for security reasons.

In a bizarre twist, Adkins later helped to send Deputy Talley to prison in 1997 for conspiring to
murder an FBI agent.

GROWING UP AT GRACELAND - Its time for David Stanley to come out from his hole
as he prepares for yet another revealing look at the private side of Elvis with his second
attempt at movie project.

"Protecting The King" (2007) was his first movie about his life with Elvis which is easily one
of the worst and most ridiculous Elvis Bio movies of all time and yet dear Davey is going to
give it another go......."Oh Joy".

The following item was published by "first showing" [August 28, 2012], and is presented here
for your information.

The King may have left the building, but when all was said and done, Elvis Presley had
starred in 33 feature films and left an indelible impression on the music and film landscape.

One of the biggest musicians to cross over into film, Elvis helped pave the way for guys like
Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg, and other musicians-turned-actors to entertain us on the big
screen today.

THR reports that the recenty-formed
BiteSize Entertainment is developing a biopic of sorts
about Elvis called
Growing Up Graceland, based on Conversations with the King: Journals
of a Young Apprentice
a book by David E. Stanley's.

The movie will follow Stanley's 17-year relationship with Presley, who happened to be his
stepbrother and mentor. Stanley moved to Graceland when he was just four years old, and
grew up to be a personal aide to The King.

The film is also said to have a spiritual slant, as it delves into the big questions that Elvis was
asking before he passed away in 1977. Sounds a bit like it could be told through the same
sort of lens as
My Week With Marilyn, from a younger person's perspective looking in on the
life of one of the world's biggest stars. It also fits nicely in with the theme of nostalgia that has
been invading Hollywood over the past few years.

Most of the films about Elvis made after his death have been small made-for-TV projects, so
it will be interesting to see if BiteSize can create something a bit more high profile to tell this
story.

ELVIS & LARRY A JOURNEY SHARED - The following is from
the 'Elvis & Larry' website and is not as yet reviewed by anyone here
at Elvis Express Radio.

"Larry Geller was more than Elvis Presley’s personal hairstylist. He
was one of his closest and most trusted friends - in many ways his
spiritual mentor.

What Larry shares of Elvis here may shock some people.  It will
certainly surprise you.  Because what you will discover is an
essential Elvis that was so personal, he never publicly let it out in

A STEP TOO FAR - Pretty much everything has been
prostituted that had once been connected to Elvis Presley
but this time its the worst piece of Elvis memorabilia
anyone could ever try to make money from.
We're told that Vernon Presley passed these on to Elvis dealer Jimmy Velvet soon after Elvis'
death, but what I find bizarre is how or why would Elvis' own father pass on a pair of
unwashed and soiled underpants. Also, are there really any fans out there who would want to
see such sick items?

Thanks to the money making dealer selling these soiled pants, the worlds tabloids have
picked up the story and taken ripping into Elvis Presley into a new direction as they all enjoy
the easy opportunity to poke fun at Elvis saying he would soil himself on stage and other sick
headlines and claims.

However, one reporter, Deborah Kennedy, writing for the 'Brisbane Times' wrote the following:
How much is too much when it comes to collecting?
Ding dong......."Hi, come in, welcome."
"Hi, great to see you - dinner smells good!"

"Yes, shouldn't be long. In the meantime, have a look at my latest purchase - Elvis Presley's
slightly stained underpants."    Can you imagine?

Well, I can't actually imagine why they're for sale (reportedly recovered from the estate of his
father, Vernon) and, secondly, what on Earth you'd do with them?

The auction lot item reads, in part: "The briefs were worn on stage in 1977 and are
unwashed with some stains apparent.".........Eek.

Incredibly, they're expected to fetch thousands of pounds, when they go under the hammer on
Saturday week (Estimate: Est: £7,000 - £9,000) and sadly, someone will doubtless buy it.

I'm a fan of Elvis, a huge fan. But I don't need his soiled unwashed underpants, nor a hair
from his armpit, nor a snippet of his bed sheet (highly unlikely it was his, anyway), nor an
errant toenail, clipped in the jungle room.........His music's the only memento I need."

This very same sick item was put on sale a few years ago on 'Auction World TV' and they tried
to sell them for £25,000.00 (I was behind the scenes that day and told them I thought they
had gone too far and would like to think no fan would ever buy them?)

Lets hope these don't sell and on the journey back to storage they suddenly combust and be
gone forever. Shame on Jimmy Velvet for ever displaying them.....shame on whoever is now
selling them.....And shame on anyone who buys them this time round.

PLEASE VOTE AGAIN - Due to a technical error beyond our control, the voting poll for the
question of selling soiled and unwashed underpants worn by Elvis was faulty, but I am happy
to say that issue is now resolved. So, if you already voted, please vote again and we will be
talking about the issue on tomorrows show.
We ask that our fellow fans send a polite message to the auction house which could follow
along the lines of.....

To Omega Auctions
As an Elvis fan I was offended and shocked to see Lot 387 (ELVIS PRESLEY - 1977
Jumpsuit Underwear.) being offered for sell through your auction house. This item makes
your auction look tacky and nasty while Elvis fans around the world look on in disgust.

Through my online Elvis Show (Elvis Express Radio} 8,125 Elvis fans voted on if this item
was a disgrace or not a problem? 99.96% of fans said this was a disgrace and we ask that
out of respect to Elvis Presley's memory and a show of good will to his fans around the world.

Would Elvis' father really hand over unwashed and stained underwear of his deceased son
to be displayed in a museum? Also, Elvis' last tour was June 77... Elvis died in August, so
these pants remained unwashed for those 2 months & even longer for them to be given
away?

PLEASE, show some respect to Elvis' memory and pull this disgrace before its too late, show
fans everywhere that Omega Auctions cares about Elvis and his memory.

Yours sincerely
