several years. We've even included it in our F.B.E.I files. But now, it's current owner Bud Glass
has brought more light on the suit which puts more weight behind the idea it was once
owned by Elvis.

BLUE SUEDE WHAT? -  These pair of Blue
Suede Shoes are said to be signed by Elvis Presley
in 1956 and the picture shown is said to prove it?

However, the shoe he is signing in the photograph is
NOT the same as the ones being auctioned off for an
estimated $3,000 - $5,000

The shoe in the photo is clearly a slip on shoe, also
known as a loafer, it certainly has no laces and to
include the picture as "proof" it will have made any
potential bidders nervous.     Click image to enlarge....
One afternoon while watching television at Elvis’ house, an advertisement came on the TV
showing the new Thunderbird sport car for Ford Motor Company. Elvis asked Ernie if he had
seen the car, because he thought it was really cool, and that there was only a few Ford
dealerships that were allowed to sell the car, as it was a limited edition.

Ernie told Elvis that they had a red one on the showroom floor where he worked. Elvis told
him he wanted to come by the next morning to see it. Elvis met Ernie at the lot, saw the car
and told Ernie “he would take it”. After doing the paperwork Elvis got in the car and someone
snapped a picture of Elvis sitting in the front seat with Ernie standing by the open door. The
picture has been in numerous books and memorabilia about the life of Elvis.

WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES -  In the Elvis world,
we are so used to hype and self-promotion that it’s
easy to get a bit blasé when hearing about another
‘sensational book that you must own’.

More often than not, the product fails to deliver and
ends on your book shelf, never to be dipped into again.
We will therefore keep our information about our
forthcoming book publication simple and to the point.

Elvis For Everyone! Publication has built a good
reputation over the years with past photo-books like
the highly successful
“Images” series.

We are now putting the finishing touches on a book
titled simply
“Elvis Walk A Mile In My Shoes” (A4 size,
140 pages) that will blow our earlier books right out
of the water.

ERNIE BARRASSO DIES -  Memphis
legend Ernie Barrasso died Saturday [3/31]
2012, at 6:30 am after a long illness. Ernie
lived his life with style and humor, generosity,
and charm.

His big thrill came after running with Red
West and the Elvis Gang; he used to join them
when they rented out the roller skating rink
and the movie theaters after hours with Elvis
and his many friends.
The book will contain many amazing photos from 1954 to 1977, and most of these have
never been seen before, not even in books like “Elvis Files”.

Many of these photos were taken directly from the original negatives and dias, thus ensuring
top quality, and some of these come from the collection of Elvis’ associates and musicians,
one of whom has written the foreword for this remarkable book.

The majority of these photos are in stunning color, and in the A4 format you can see all the
details with amazing clarity. If you get only one book this year, then make sure that it’s
“Elvis: Walk A Mile In My Shoes”, the one book that can actually live up to its hype

Publication: May 2012.

THE ORIGINAL ELVIS TRIBUTE HITS COPENHAGEN - Former Elvis musicians;
Bobby Wood, Mary & Ginger Holladay, Duke Bardwell & Jerome ‘Stump’ Monroe who were
also with singer Robert Washington and Rock-a-billy Guitarist Carl Bradychok arrived at
Copenhagen airport yesterday, tired after the long flights but very excited about the coming
shows in Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Norway and Holland (see
www.elvisnews.dk )

“I’m SO looking forward to the shows!”, Duke stated with his always contagious enthusiasm,
while Ginger Holladay added:
“I’m really looking forward to working with this great band and
singing for the European fans for the first time. What Elvis left us what something very
special, and it’s an honor for us to be paying tribute to this great man”
.

The chemistry in the band is great (I guess a few rounds of Carlsberg always does the trick!)
and everybody is now geared towards working up a great show for the fans in the coming
days.

In the first photo you can see Duke, Robert and Stump arrive at Copenhagen airport, and in
the second photo there’s Mary, Ginger and Bobby together with tour manager Arjan Deelen.

MADONNA' SNEAKY CHART TOPPER - She's already broken Elvis' record for the
most U.K #1 albums with her latest release,
MDNA, and now Madonna has achieved similar
success in the U.S.

The 53-year-olds album
MDNA sold an impressive 359,000 units, making it her eighth album
to top the Billboard 200 albums chart. MDNA now holds the title for the highest selling debut
of 2012 so far....So, why has this album hit the spot?

Well, it's not down to the usual sales & download figures because Madonna resorted to
some trickery in a bid to secure a number one spot on various charts.

Her label, Interscope and Live Nation, which owns Ticketmaster, combined her latest album
with ticket sales to her upcoming concert tour.

For every ticket that was sold to one of her shows, buyers also received a copy of MDNA.
They had the option of downloading on iTunes for free or receiving a hard copy in the post.

It isn't yet known how many album sales were directly attributed to concert ticket purchases.

As per the Ticketmaster website: 'Get MDNA' with your Ticket- Madonna is having a huge party
and everyone’s invited''. 'For every ticket purchased online, you’ll receive your choice of a
digital or physical copy of Madonna’s new album MDNA. Prior to the album release on 3/26,
you’ll receive an email from Ticketmaster with redemption instructions.'

This is not the first time such a trick has been tried, though other artists like Bon Jovi and
Tom Petty were not as successful as the woman with blonde ambition.

As Brian Quinn told E.E.R, "If this is allowed then it appears we have just lost a major
opportunity to get Elvis another No.1 album with the latest European tour of the 'Elvis In
Concert'. I have e-mailed Scott Williams at EPE to inform him of the situation with the
recommendation we do the same next time the Concert tours here.

What's good for the goose........

THE DUKE & THE KING - Premiering  April 22, at the
Nashville Film Festival,.is the New documentary film,
'Duke & The King'.

The film reveals the compelling story of Elvis Presley’s
former bass player.
There’s danger in meeting one’s hero,
especially if your hero becomes your boss and your boss
happens to be the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll
. Duke Bardwell
learned that the hard way.

Part documentary, part concert film, Duke & The King tells
the story of Bardwell, one of the great, unheralded talents in
American music. Bardwell’s story demonstrates what can
happen when the right words and music come together to
alter destiny and, in doing so, offer a shot at redemption.

Friday at age 54, produced sentimental scenes of country gardens and pastoral landscapes
in dewy morning light that were beloved by many but criticized by the art establishment.

In 2007, Kinkade was commissioned to paint Elvis' Graceland to mark the 50th Anniversary
of Elvis buying the home in 1957. When the famous painter visited Graceland in September
2006, he told the press,
"Elvis Presley created rock and roll and changed music forever.
Graceland was his refuge from the demands of his fame. My hope is that I will capture on
canvas a bit of the home that he loved so much."
Thomas Kinkade produced a 2nd painting
of Elvis' home which was titled, "Graceland Christmas".

Thomas Kinkade died at his home in Los Gatos in the San Francisco Bay Area of what
appeared to be natural causes. He was 54.

ELVIS IN CONCERT UK - The 2012 UK tour of ELVIS PRESLEY IN CONCERT has been
one of the most successful tours to date, with fans of all ages flocking to pack some of our
biggest concert venues.

BUT, not if you take the results of the Boxscore results for the tour. I was at the O2 Arena on
March 16, & while they list it as the best attendance of the tour, they expect us to believe that
there were just over 7 1/2 Thousand people, which is insane. Here are the stats & figures for
the tour.

So there you have it? According to the official figures, only 35,621 people saw this years show
at all 6 venues.

BUS FEUD CONTINUES -  A two-year-old feud over who owns the so-called Elvis Bus
continues in a Mississippi court. It may be a while longer before the issue is settled.

The North Mississippi Daily Journal reports that Lee County Chancellor Talmadge Littlejohn
postponed a hearing this week into a challenge to the bus' title, presently held by Bill Kinard
of Tupelo.s

Kinard said he never wanted to sell the bus and that Tupelo bus rehabber Larry Michael stole
it when he moved it to Nashville.

Michael claims Kinard owes him $134,000 for paying the bus' promissory note and for its
retrieval from Washington State in early 2009. He also wants to be paid for certain
"restoration" of the vehicle.

On Wednesday, Michael's attorneys agreed to delay the hearing after meeting with the judge
and Kinard's lawyers.

John Spelling at busforsale.com in Nashville said when the March 31 sale deadline passed,
Larry Michael's bid was the only offer for the 40-foot long, eight-foot wide 1976 vehicle with the
Elvis trademark "TCB" logo.

Before court Wednesday, Kinard backed off a bit from his certainty that the King of Rock 'n'
Roll actually owned the bus, saying instead that Elvis gave its purchase money to music
colleague J.D. Sumner to tour with his Stamps Quartet.

Kinard and Michael's have been feuding over the vehicle at least two years.

Kinard said he wants to keep the bus and take it on tour to make a living away from his
Legacy Hall of Fame museum in Tupelo.

In court documents, Michael denies Kinard's allegations and countersued for the money he
claims he's owed.

On Dec. 12, all sides apparently agreed to a court-filed compromise to put the bus up for sale.

But Kinard said he was under a doctor's care and should not have signed anything, which
was told to Littlejohn on Wednesday.

Spelling says he expects Michael to take possession of the bus "as soon as that other fellow
relinquishes the title."

UPDATE ON THAT BUS -  We're still waiting on the official and final word on that darn
bus, however, a inside source has informed us that everything is on track but there is an
ongoing legal issue that has slowed things down. The final ruling by the judge is expected in
approximately 20 days. We will bring you that news as soon as it's known.

Whats going to happen to the bus? I can only hope that the thing is removed from any kind of
association with Elvis, in fact, remove the TCB from the thing and do what ever with it.

NOT SO PURE SOUNDS OF ELVIS - One of FTD's
latest releases is
'Our Memories of Elvis Vols 1, 2 and 3',
the series was originally released by RCA in 1979, but
we're informed in the new booklet that volume 1 was first
released in February 1989!

A print error is the least of the issues with this release, as
we find on the very first track, 'Are You Sincere', a mastering
error at around 1:11, the first one is not a glitch but Elvis'
rings catching his hand held mic, & certainly nowhere as
bad

THE COLONELS DREAM ELVIS -  We know
that Parker saw Elvis as a money making machine
he even went as far as to build Elvis Robots.

Pictured right is the design from inside the old
Carny's mind....but he did actually get some of
these made up!

They roamed around the lobby of the  Hilton Hotel
as mobile advertising boards. That old con-man
really would do anything to bring in that money.

I wouldn't mind betting Elvis never saw a single
penny of any of that advertising money. Happily,
these were short lived after they made the news
when a woman accused one of the robots had
groped her. (To see actual photo, click on image)

SHELLOHA, A NEW LOW -  Have we reached a
new all time low with things EPE is licensing?

With news that the Elvis Mr Potato Head is the best
selling item and a THIRD 'Blue Hawaii' potato head is
coming soon it looks like more ducks, potatoes and
other trashy crap will continue.
So how about  "Shelloha From Hawaii"? Bradford Exchange have decided to celebrate the
40th anniversary of
'Aloha from Hawaii' in January 2013 with, what they describe as...
First-of-its-kind limited-edition Elvis tribute turtle music box honors his classic performance.
Handcrafted in Heirloom Porcelain.
I don't know about anyone else but I'm a little bit worried
about what else is planned now that they have this ugly piece of merchandise trash which
they seem to be proud of?

* Give tribute to Elvis in the eyes of a turtle with this first-of-its-kind Elvis Presley music box,
available only from The Bradford Exchange.
(Oooooooh!)

* His shiny black hair, long sideburns, 70s-style Elvis eyewear, Hawaiian lei and white shell
with colorful simulated jewels in the pattern of Elvis' American Eagle jumpsuit are sure to
remind you of the famous 1973 Aloha from Hawaii concert.
(Remind us of what again?)

* This Heirloom Porcelain turtle's shell opens on a Limoges-style hinge and closes with a
golden TCB™ clasp adorned with golden accents

* Plays the beloved melody of Elvis' concert finale, "Can't Help Falling in Love"

Oh, and...(I almost forgot)

ELVIS & A NEW MOVIE? -  “Elvis Came Back to Manage Me” is a screenplay written by
Hallandale Beach writer, Jay Schorr.  But what makes this movie different than other political
thrillers is that voters are being asked to lobby Hollywood producers to green light the project.

“Usually the [producers] in Hollywood decide which films get made,” said Bill Singletary, a
South Florida media executive.  “This is the first time someone’s trying to vest that decision
with the movie-going public.”

Singletary says there’s no better way to test market a potential movie concept than to put it out
there before the public.  “They buy the tickets and know what they want to see.”

“Elvis Came Back to Manage Me” is based on the story of Charlie Blake, a struggling South
Florida country musician.  One night, while performing at a Fort Lauderdale Moose Lodge,
Blake sees an apparition of Elvis Presley.  Elvis tells Charlie he's come back to manage him
and propel him to stardom.  In exchange, Elvis asks that Charlie assist him in his quest to
track down those responsible for the King’s premature demise.

But Elvis’ interest in Charlie goes far beyond any conspiratorial unraveling.  It is soon
revealed that Charlie is the King’s illegitimate son.  What follows is nothing short of a cosmic
series of events with profound repercussions for father, son and the fabric of American
society.

“The movie is destined to become a cult classic,” said Schorr.

Schorr said the public will be able to read his script online, then if they like it, click on a
thumbs-up link to major movie studio executives.  The public also will get to participate in
casting the movie.

“We’ve already begun to explore talent attachments,” Schorr said.  “People will be able to vote
on who they want to star in the movie.  We’ve already put out feelers to Ben Stiller, Eddie
Murphy and John Travolta.”

The title track, Elvis Came Back to Manage Me, will be performed by a major country music
star.

According to West, these glasses were bought for him
as a gift from J.D. Sumner and Elvis? Elvis had TCB on
the arms of his glasses but West had "Stamps" on one
arm and "Sonny" on the other. Why would Elvis not be
mentioned on this "gift"...? One can only wonder!

ALL THE KING'S WOMEN - The king of rock and roll
is gone, but he is not forgotten. .
“All The King’s Women”
is a fast-paced series of five short plays and three
monologues about women and men moving in, out, and
around the life of the Elvis Presley.

Told in chronological order, the scenes take place
between the 1940s and the present day. Samuel French
describes the play as
“a touching, bring-the-family
comedy with a heart that captures the effects that just
being a nice guy can bring to others!”

“One Tupelo Saleswoman,” — the hilarious opening
monologue about Elvis purchasing his first guitar on his
11th birthday.

Bethany Sinnott plays a 1940s Mississippi sales lady
who
who sells Elvis his first guitar when the future gyrator and his Mother pop in to her store to
choose Elvis’ 11th birthday gift. Bethany commands a bare stage, but you’d swear there’s a
store full of people interrupting her monologue: “.…Asbestos Insulation Sir? Aisle 4.” With
apologies to you know who: Bethany is the soul of wit.

The Censor And The King — Tammie Casper and Claudia Galup epitomize a new world of
1950s women in the workplace as their characters discuss how the censors will scrutinize
pelvic movement, before Elvis’ first appearance on the Steve Allen Show. Gina Christoffersen
plays The Colonel’s secretary. The questions and precautions of the day, as well as
hilariously portrayed, seem incredible now.

3 A.M. In The Garden With A God — Kat Campagna plays a ’60s housewife whose few
minutes of daily independence generally fall in the middle of the night when she takes a trip
to the local supermarket to buy peanut butter and bananas. Kat’s “highlight of my life” recital
of her collision with Elvis in the produce section is a show stopper. Your sides will be All
Shook Up.

When Nixon Met Elvis — Mary Ann McCubbin, Celsa de Jesus, and Lori Van Wallendael are
three 1970 White House secretaries fawning over a visitor at the White House gate. The three
do a good job bouncing off one another: transitioning through denial, shock and eventual
weak kneed contact with the aspiring federal agent.

A 15-minute intermission is followed by...

Warhol Explains Art To Elvis — Claudia Galup and Robin Hendrick, embracing their full
flower power regalia, make plans to entice Elvis to endorse Warhol’s Elvis Pop Art Exhibition.
Jeannie Lefler questions their approach.

Pink Cadillacs and God – Showroom manager Bob Paolino struggles to determine which of
his super saleswomen: Sharon Doherty or Lori Van Wallendael, will sell Elvis the king’s next
and 100th Cadillac. The three actors do an excellent job of hitting the funny lines and the
scene also does more than any other in the show to depict the dichotomy of Elvis’ public
persona and his struggle to earn respect from the establishment.

One Private Guard — Rodney Lippard is a security guard inside Graceland, who knew and
worked for Presley before the king’s death. Reflections on the compassion and generosity of
Elvis Presley are poignantly portrayed by Lippard.

Leaving Graceland – It is 2012 and a young woman: Willow Catherine, is quitting the
souvenir shop at Graceland. Her obsessed Elvis Impersonator boyfriend Chris Speer cannot
believe she’s leaving and inept sales clerk Pat Proctor just never thinks it will happen. The
three play off each other well. Graceland is full of tourist trinkets and the world is moving on.

Bob Paolino has a recurring role as the radio announcer. Missy Barnes, an associate
professor of Theatre Arts at Catawba College, serves as the director.

Elvis onto his show. Although he kept Elvis off Bandstand, the Colonel clearly recognized
Clark’s ability to understand and communicate with young people.
“There is nothing basically
bad or wrong about our teen-agers today,”
Clark wrote in a 1959 magazine article. “They are
better citizens than past generations for they are better educated in school and at home. They
have broader tastes. They have ideals and they have values … Actually, I’m not defending
teen-agers or myself. What I am trying to defend is my right and your right to go to a church of
our choice, or buy the records of our choice. Elvis may start off his dinner with a banana split.
Pat Boone prefers white buckskin shoes. Democracy would be in a bad way if our tastes in
music, food and clothes were dictated to us. And when these little dictators try to enforce their
will on us, it makes me blazing mad.”

At 30 years old in 1959, Clark also offered a respected adult voice in support of Elvis. “He’s a
great talent,”
Clark declared. “Whether you call it rock and roll or rhythm and blues or country
music, his style is authentic. He has never faked his music. His music is honest. Many adults
couldn’t see it. The younger generation, whose tastes were not prejudiced, accepted Presley’
s singing for its freshness and exuberance. But this is not the secret. It’s something more
than talent that Elvis has. Some people call it magic. I call it girl-appeal.”

Dick Clark fit perfectly in Colonel Parker’s plan to keep the Presley home fires burning while
Elvis was out of sight in Germany. In 1959 Parker allowed Clark to conduct three telephone
interviews with Elvis and broadcast them on American Bandstand. They allowed Elvis to
speak directly to Clark’s massive audience of record-buying teenagers.

Elvis may have had some doubts about his reception on his return home, but Dick Clark
predicted Presley would be received with open arms.
“I believe that when Elvis comes
steaming in on that troopship he will get the most fantastic welcome any artist has ever
received in the history of American show business,”

Clark wrote in the 1959 magazine article. “His doubts will vanish, for his fans are true-blue
loyal, and Elvis will still be wearing the crown … I’ll bet when Elvis gets his release there will
be headlines reading, ‘Can Presley Make a Comeback?’ He doesn’t have to make a
comeback. Just come back. We’re all waiting for him.”

Clark first became a household name with

Over the 34 years that Clark hosted the show, he
shared the stage with just about every major
movement in popular music.

One of Clark's biggest regrets was not being able to

CLIVE DAVIS WANTS ELVIS DUETS -  At last night’s
Tisch School of the Art's Gala, music mogul and NYU alum
Clive Davis told the NY Times that while he hasn’t had a
chance to see Tupac’s hologram perform at Coachella, he is
"in the midst" of an afterlife-inspired project of his own: an
Elvis Presley duets album. Apparently Priscilla Presley
brought him the idea and it “struck a responsive chord” with
him.

“I immediately thought, My God, to go through his repertoire
and not to be a slave to his tracks but to have some freedom
to perhaps change some tracks as we see [fit]. Could Lady
Gaga do 'Viva Las Vegas' with Elvis?

You know, different ideas. We all have to explore what’s fresh
and new, even if it explores the departed.

”Maybe
"Maybe Gaga could even perform with Elvis' hologram, we suggest. “Elvis would be great,”
Davis agreed. Though, on second thought, perhaps Elvis should perform with Jo Calderone,
and we can see who does Elvis better.

BANA BACKS OUT OF ELVIS ROLE - Eric Bana says he's not playing Elvis Presley in
Elvis & Nixon, the directorial debut of Cary Elwes.

"I'm not doing that. I was attached for a while, but I'm no longer attached," Bana told The
Hollywood Reporter at Sunday's screening of his latest movie,
Deadfall, at the Tribeca Film
Festival.

In October, Bana was announced as the actor playing The King, with Danny Huston taking on
the equally iconic and oft-impersonated character of President Richard Nixon. Bana, as it
happens, is known for a spot-on Elvis impersonation.

Bana was named as an executive producer on the film -- which centers on a 1970 meeting
between Elvis and Nixon at the White House -- through his Pick Up Truck Pictures, marking
the company's first U.S. production.

Elwes co-wrote the script with Joey Sagal and Hanala Sagal; the project is financed by
producer Michael Benaroya (Margin Call).
"You have a lot to overcome in terms of meeting or
beating people's expectations,"
Benaroya said of the film in a recent interview with THR.

JONES ADVISED ELVIS, STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS -  Sir Tom Jones has told
another Elvis tale, this time he says that he advised Elvis Presley to stay away from drugs.

The 71-year-old crooner and the 'Love Me Tender' hitmaker - who died in 1977 aged just 42 -
became friends whilst performing at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas during the 60s and 70s,
and would often chat about the pitfalls of being in the public eye.

But while Elvis was known for his drug use, Tom insists he declined to have anything to do
with that side of fame and urged his friend to do the same.

The 'Delilah' singer said: 'He picked my brains a bit. I never realised he was doing it, but he
would say, 'how do you deal with it, fame?' And I'd say, 'well, I enjoy it'. Then he'd say, 'what
drugs do you take in order to enjoy it?' And I'd say, 'well, I don't' - and I think that's maybe
helped me.'

Despite being surrounded by cocaine and marijuana at celebrity-packed parties, 'The Voice'
mentor insists he was never tempted to dabble.

He told the Daily Telegraph: 'It has never interested me. Cocaine, for instance - going to a
party and seeing there's a bloody big mound on the table. Christ, I don't get anything from it.

'I like restaurants, I like pubs. I like to be in the pub standing with the fellas by the bar, a social
thing that you don't get from drugs. I still like a good pint of British ale.'

ELVIS PRESLEY: LIVE AT THE BELLAGIO -  It could happen. Kind of. The haunting
hologram of Tupac Shakur, which lit up the stage at California's Coachella music festival last
weekend, is just the beginning of a new and lucrative revenue stream that could soon be
available to dead celebrities, known in marketing circles as "delebs."

Hologram imaging has been around for awhile, but this past weekend was the first time a
truly lifelike image of a deceased personality was able to truly wow the crowd.

His holographic image and performance was 100 percent original, not cobbled or adapted
from video of past performances. Which means any dead star, doing anything onstage, is
now feasible. The show was so impressive that Snoop and his cohort Dr. Dre are now
considering taking the holographic Shakur along with them on tour, according to the Wall
Street Journal.

This technology, perfected by Digital Domain Media Group, opens the door for the estates of
dead celebrities to ink business deals that could net them millions of dollars. Many dead
celebrities are represented by agents who cut deals for them for everything from
endorsements to advertisements ... and now concert tours. Will Elvis Live 2012 be next?
