Hi guys and gals, Lee here! I love the old advertising stuff for Elvis releases and other cool things, but like most of you, the chance of owning
these classic old items is very slim indeed and so what I have done is invite my co-host Joe to share with us some of these rare and valuable
items from his personal collection........This time round Joe sends in:
The Early Years, The Hit Records, The Live Tracks, The Rarities, The Home Recordings...Everything Elvis Recorded Right Here On The Original Elvis Express Radio

Here we have the first TV Guide that had Elvis on the cover. This was the first time Elvis had appeared on a magazine that was related neither to
music nor to the movies. The week was September 8-14 1956 and the reason Elvis was featured was for his performance on the Ed Sullivan
Show which was to be on Sunday September 9. This first magazine saw the first of a three part interview with Elvis with the next 2 parts being
featured in the following issues which covered September 22-28 and September 29-October 5,1956. Neither of which featured Elvis on the
covers (see images above).
The estimated value for the first magazine is around $250 dollars (£160), while the other two are a lower price of $75 (£47) each.

The next time Elvis appeared on the cover of a TV Guide it was for the week of May 7-13 1960 which was promoting the upcoming Frank Sinatra
TV Special, 'Welcome of Elvis. This edition also came with this letter which asked the readers, "Is Elvis Still King?" The letter also explains how
the readers could win huge colour portraits of the TV Guide cover with Elvis & Frank Sinatra! Copies of the latest LP 'Elvis Is Back" and the new
Single 'Stuck On You'. Other prizes included the book 'Operation Elvis' by Alan Levy. Joe's estimated price for this one is $100 (£65)
