Hey Lee and joe awesome show this week it was just so great. If they make a movie on last train to Memphis I will definitely be seeing and this does sound
promising. Also I am sick of EPE and the crap they release i doubt that they will ever give us a quality product ever again!!! I was just so shocked when the
listener pointed on Amazon about that Mia Presley doing an x rated song called "Elvis Presley" how something like this can get released is just beyond me.
Anyway thanks again for all the great shows whenever I have a bad week dealing with peoples crap hearing your shows just makes me feel so much better
and just so happy so again thanks so much!

I wanted to write to tell you I heard the show for the first time last night. I saw the site address on the excellent album "New York, RCA Studio 1 - The

playing some great Elvis music but not just the usual back to back songs, there is some life to the presenting and I loved the honesty of the DJs. I will
certainly be listening to EER from now on. Thanks for such an excellent show.

The show was another great 3 hours of Elvis joy.
Love what you do and I liked what Larry in Skegness wrote about how you have no idea about how much joy you bring through your shows. He is so right, I
have not said this before but my nephew, Timmy has down syndrome and he loves Elvis so much. Well he adores Elvis Express Radio and hates it if he has
to miss any of the shows. Lee, you really do bring people so much joy in what you do and the most amazing this is you do all this for nothing.
You don’t sell things through a shop or charge fans to listen, you just do this for Elvis and for Elvis fans and that’s so cool! It’s hard to imagine that you
would ever get abuse for doing that you do but we all know you have and probably still do, and that just shows how damn nasty and selfish some of the Elvis
world can be today, but there are some of us who love what you do and you should always know that because you make Timmy so very happy indeed.

I would just like to say I am 21 years old and up until 2 years ago, I considered Elvis to be a joke and not someone who was taken serious in music.
I remembered the little less conversation remix from 2002 and while I liked it I never gave much more notice of it but them 2 years ago I was going through
my old CDs and came across the Elvis & JXL one and played it....I LOVED IT and over the next couple of days I played it again and again and during my
lunch break at work I popped into my local HMV store and picked up a copy of the King album and after work while driving home I played the CD and did so
over the working week and I loved it and I have not looked back. Basically, if it was not for a remix then I would not be privileged now, enjoying the music he
left us and also the music like Viva Elvis which is absolutely brilliant and has made some of my friends interested in Elvis now. So I say keep on with great
Elvis remixes and for Chrisys information, the squeaky record spinning she refers to is NOT rap but is actually more Techno.
Viva Elvis makes musical history with the things done on this album and Elvis leads the way in a new music technique.....Great stuff!

Hi Lee and Joe!!!!
Thanks for the great show again last week!!! I've been so busy with my daughter visiting from Calgary 1000 miles away.......we had so much fun with family
and friends and of course LOTS of Elvis was seen and played!!!!!
You were mentioning on your show about my '68 Special disaster........YES IT WAS!!!! A girlfriend & I had just been and met Elvis outside his home in L.A. in
April 68.....we then found out about the upcoming 68 Special and a friend who lived in L.A. got us tickets..we had lots of connections back then!!
However, my boyfriend & I just did not have enough money to fly down and see Elvis as we were getting married in August! Isn't that just absolutely mind
blowing that we could have been at the shows but we didn't have the friggin' money to go! I still freak out when I think of it!...it really is the biggest regret of
my life that we were unable to attend! My girlfriend Brenda flew down and you can see her clearly in the stand-up show both in pictures and on the DVD.
After that horrible experience we vowed never to miss Elvis again and when Elvis appeared in Vegas in '69 we were there in a flash! We always vowed we'd
never miss him again and we saw him in person right up to November 76.....he never came back to our area or Tahoe again!!! Anyway, thanks so much for
playing all the requests and keep well you two and we love ya!

For Lee & Joe at E.E.R:
So you want to know my suggestion to what should be done in the marketing field of Elvis, E.P.E and Sony?
What a wonderful question because this area is really lacking from a professional team and even the actual act itself.
First lets remember that marketing is surrounded by supply and demand. It all starts there. To create a demand for the Elvis Presley market there needs to
be exposure to all public sources available.
Look around and see what others are leading by example:
Television commercials, advertisement, toys, games, movies and Vegas shows.
Now, selling the image or right to use someone's photo in a commercial or add is a smart marketing move if the company is large, does a lot of
advertisement nationally and creates a positive persona. E.P.E needs to sell an image shot to a large company or two, get Elvis out there again!
Collaborating with other businesses will also help. E.P.E tends to keep everything to themselves, buying up museums ect to hold their own market on these.
While this is considered greedy to me, if they opened up the sharing part of Elvis's life and worked with other museums and businesses to expand the
exposure of Elvis this to me only makes sense. It makes people remember him and this is what we want. More exposure.
Why do I not see during tourism season adds for TN pushing Graceland? Bad mistake.
Graceland downgrading on events and allowing drunks and clowns does not help any. This means that tossing in the beer garden creates an unsafe
environment for most Elvis fans. Bad E.T.A's looking like clowns walking around taking photos with people makes it even worse. And no my husband does
not do this and never has. Respect has been lost for all that hard work E.P.E put in to keep things respectable. Meaning all the people they have banned
from the estate are far better than those allowed it seems like today.
The market is out there guys but E.P.E has not taken advantage of it one bit in the correct way. Selling cheap items, other people's books stacked with lies,
and cheap junk in the shops at high prices, is not good marketing.
I think that the real problem is that they do not have a good marketing team and probably a small budget for it is, in my opinion, a huge mistake.
If E.P.E would pick up and head in the correct direction of marketing, Sony would have no problem selling their records due to the exposure. Exposure is
everything in marketing it is the key answer to this problem.

Come on now Chrisy....so, all the bitching about the Viva Elvis album and you had not given it a listen (so you say) but of course you had because you had
heard them on this show, which is what made you complain and then you say if you knew you would only like one or two songs you would not have spent
your money on it....hang on, again...you had already heard them on this show.
RAP? RAP? RAP? RAP? - Are we certain she got the right album? And as for changing Elvis' voice....the only thing really altered was Elvis' speaking voice
on Polk Salad Annie which was done to make it sound a little higher, to tie in with the 50s voice on the main song.
And then the crazy reaction to the woman on the album. GIVE ME A BREAK..the exact words were "WTF???????? Wait...... why is there a woman singing
the songs? If I wanted to hear her I would had bought her CD instead of Elvis! Get the %&^$ out!" - Sorry but Chrisys ear is faulty because there are THREE
woman on the album, I guess Chrisys ear could not hear the difference?
ALSO, I wonder what Chrisys reaction was when she first played Essential Elvis Vol 3 and heard the voice of Kitty White blast out on Crawfish...did she rip
out that CD, stamp her feet and shout, "IF I WANTED TO HEAR KITTY WHITE I WOULD BUY HER ALBUM"....still not to worry, all will be well Chrisy can be
happy to know that very soon more IMPS will be in the spotlight and Elvis made the clown in the media and public once again.

I could not believe what I heard on Elvis Radio today. This is the Sirius Elvis Radio by the way....Anyway, a fan called in and asked George Klein and Big Jim

The caller asked who Gee Gee was that Elvis talks about in the film Elvis That's The Way It Is. You remember the part where Elvis says about how he had a
little boy and had to travel and how his ex wife would not let him take the boy or see him, something like that.
Anyhow, neither George Klien or Big Jim Sykes had any idea what the caller was asking and Big Jim even asked..."Are you sure this was in TTWII and not

Hello Lee & Joe,
This week has dragged for us. We have been so looking forward to this week's show.
We have been discussing the latest email from Chrisy. We all found the focus on where she bought the album a little strange. Now, we don't know where she
lives but is she telling us that not one big music store had a copy of the album? But to point out she found it in a unknown brand store suggested to us she
was saying, "The album is no good and is only fit to be found in an unknown brand store"..or something like that?
Then there is the comment "So where are all the hall of fame musicians and singers in this CD? Nowhere...there are none." Excuse us but isn't ELVIS
PRESLEY the important hall of famer on this album? But what about the many NON hall of famers that are on many of Elvis' original recordings? Does Chrisy
dismiss all those recordings as well just because there are no hall of famers on them?
Then we have "The base in Elvis' voice has been completely eliminated keeping with the higher pitches of the modern Rap music." OMG, what is she talking
about? How does Chrisy react to things like the 60s overdub of 'Tomorrow Night' or the song 'Girl Happy' or even the entire concert movie 'Elvis On Tour'?
These are just a couple of examples of how Elvis' voice was slowed down or sped up in order make things sound different for that particular moment in music.
What about the added echo RCA put on the SUN recordings back in 1956? Are we to dispose of them because the REAL Elvis voice is altered in some way?
Elvis said, "Music changes every six months Jack and you got to change with it"...I guess Elvis was wrong? This is great by the way, it's been so long since
we have had a good old debate going on.

This weeks TCB show was nothing but superb.
The radio special about the Viva Elvis album was eye opening and very interesting to hear the things the people behind the album had to say and how
evident it was that Erich Van Tourneau has nothing but respect for Elvis and his music. As is pointed out on the show, Elvis himself said, "Music changes
every 6 months and you gotta change with it". Elvis is no longer here to change with the times but thanks to talented producers like Van Tourneau, he is
being helping keep Elvis fresh and appealing to the youth of today.

Hey there guys,
On the subject of the 2nd edition of the masters collection. I think Sony have taken fans for a ride once again with this release. 1000 copies my arse, I agree
that there was originally 2500 copies but then someone in marketing suggested Sony cut the first run to a more limited 1000 copies worldwide.
Knowing these would sell out, they could then offer the remaining 1500 copies without a certificate and a printed number. One thing I thought of is, IF the
2nd run fails to sell out, then does that not make the none limited edition more limited and therefore more valuable?

Hi Lee and Joe,
Hope you are both well and coping with all this bad weather we are having in the UK. We've been lucky here, it's only been as low as -10 and we've only had
about 4" of snow, so we can't really complain.
Anyway back to business, it seems Leo is not the big Elvis fan he thinks he is. Most people know that many songs were remixed and had added
instrumentation/overdubs done for the film and soundtrack 'This is Elvis'. In fact they were done on 30th Jan 1981 in Hollywood at the TBS studios. My
advice to Leo is take another listen to this great album......if you have it.
As for Chrisy, well she is believes no one should mess with the original recordings. If that had happened from the end of the 70's then Elvis would be about
as popular as donkey urine shampoo by now! Let's face it the Elvis world is getting smaller by the month and the endorsement of imps by EPE several years
ago was the final nail in the coffin of the Elvis legacy and instantly turned Elvis into a character laughed at by the media and many young people.
The jumpsuited image of an overweight Elvis is a constant cause of jokes by thousands of people and the media, and instead of steering away from that
image, EPE joins the bandwagon just to rake in the cash for the next few years. By then it will be too late, as Elvis is seen as a joke within the music industry
now. EPE have single handily killed their golden goose!
Sony/BMG/RCA have also sold all the back catalogue to death that it has totally devalued all of Elvis' recordings. It's only the hardcore of collectors who buy
every re-issue that have kept the releases coming. I am a firm believer in supporting all official releases in the hope that one day we get another smash hit
release that the younger generation latch on to, like the 30 No1's from 2002. But hey!.....what song made it a smash? A FRICKIN REMIX!!!!
Thousands of young people LOVED this REMIX and got into Elvis because of it. So I ask Chrisy would any other original recording by Elvis ever bring in as
many new fans as A Little Less Conversation did??? Sadly the answer is no!.....Don't get me wrong I LOVE all of Elvis' music but I am open to reworking
these recordings to help bring in new fans. Believe me Imps are not the way to promote Elvis as most young people go to see an Imp for a laugh.
The reason the Beatles are so respected is because their work has never saturated the market and there aren't many Beatles imps, or maybe, the people
who can sing in the style of the Beatles don't do it because they have more respect for their idols.
Didn't Elvis say "Don't copy me, be yourself, we were all born individuals don't lets die as copies!" So if Elvis wasn't keen on imps Chrisy why don't you
respect that statement?
Sorry for going on Lee but I have'nt requested in several weeks so it was bound to be a long one. Hope you guys are well, keep up the great work and
congrats on reaching this months target in donations....but please folks keep donating!!

Reading what Carol and Brenda wrote about the Viva Elvis show I was left feeling sad. Don't get me wrong, the review was wonderful and made me want to
see the show and listen to the album.
What made me sad was how over the last couple of weeks, fans have written in saying they HATE the whole Viva Elvis thing and one lady was taking great
joy in saying because we like Viva Elvis then we must not like the originals anymore and we should go off and listen to other singers to remind us what ELVIS
sounds like.........HELLO, I know what Elvis sounds like, he's the one singing on the Viva Elvis album....anyway, while all that is being bandied around the web
and those same fans jump around with joy for Viva Elvis failing and people rubbing their hands with glee at rumours that the show is doing bad and may
close down, Carol and Brenda leave us with....The whole show is done respectfully and the outstanding thing you walk away with is that this is a celebration
and that Elvis is one very special human being...a great message don't you think?
Yes you would think wouldn't you???? For the first time in a long time we have something that brings Elvis bang into the 21st Century and presents Elvis in a
respectful and positive manner and all we get from Elvis' fan base is abuse and wishing for failure....But hey. Let's let Viva Elvis fail and close down then
ELVIS.COM can get back to promoting all those great and tacky toys and even worse those god awful IMPS.....Oh yes, that's keeping Elvis Real isnt it.
THANK YOU LEE FOR ELVIS EXPRESS RADIO and for ALWAYS keeping ELVIS...the REAL Elvis out in front!

I want to say how brilliant the new article about Elvis and Nascar is. This is an article that shouts WAKE UP to all the Chrisys out there....I quote ""We get
people of all ages," Kenn said. "Kids love the show because it's so bright. They have no idea who Elvis is but they don't care. I took my daughter, who is 17,
to the opening last year. She didn't know much about Elvis, but she said, 'He's hot."
"They have no idea who Elvis is"? But then these kids see the show and hear the new Elvis mixes and go away thinking this Elvis is HOT!
This is an example of just how big this album SHOULD have been if Sony had delivered on their promise of an advertising campaign like nothing we had
seen before....But now we must face it that Elvis the performer really could be leaving the building.

Hi Lee and Joe.
While the poor sales of the “Viva Elvis” album is of course partly due to one of the worst promotional campaigns from Sony in the history of music; for me
the concept of the album doesn't work either. The idea of inserting sound samples throughout the songs to try and tell the story of Elvis is mildly interesting
in parts; but I think a far simpler approach would have been better; particularly if the aim was to appeal to the younger generation. What Sony should have
done was firstly not bothered with soppy ballads like “Love Me Tender” but instead taken a dozen rock & roll type Elvis recordings; given these songs a
remix in a similar manner to “Mean As Me” by Elvis X; and finally titled the album in big gold lettering “Elvis -The Rock & Roll Remixes” so that the public
would instantly know that this wasn't just another compilation album. Anyway; all this debate over remixes will be completely irrelevant when a computer is
finally able to reproduce Elvis' voice; from say the 1968-70 period when it sounded at its best. When this happens it will probably annoy the purists even
more than the remixes; but not only will we finally get to hear all those great songs of the past that Elvis should have recorded; but also we will be able to
create brand new songs as well. Have a great week. Thanks; Michael

At first I asked myself who would come out with something like the Viva Elvis show is full of IMPS....OMG is there no end to the weird claims and statements?
So for the benefit of those unsure of the difference, here it goes......The difference between IMPS and the dancers in Viva Elvis is the dancers are on a set
dancing to the music of ELVIS while ELVIS is singing and part of their costumes is to represent a part in Elvis' life...ie the 1970s and his concert
performances.
The IMP is someone who dresses up in a replica outfit (usually a jumpsuit) and tries to copy the moves, the stance and the voice of Elvis Presley.
Once again....Viva Elvis is dancers who dance to the singing voice of ELVIS PRESLEY
With an IMP, Elvis is replaced by someone with little or no talent and leaves me with the question of why listen to a FAKE when the REAL thing is there to
hear. Now Lee can you play the REAL Elvis in a new interpretation of a classic song. After all, REAL is REAL remember.
