With the event of all the new information regarding the work involved in creating something as groundbreaking as 'Viva Elvis - The Album', I cannot help
recall the first message from Chrisy where she wrote about the new backing on the album...." In today's world the computer generated music is very
distinguishable and to a true musician cheap and lazy."

It seems that the "true musician", I can only guess she is referring to herself or the IMP as the "true musician"?, I t seems that this "true musician" could not
tell distinguish between computer generated music and theses MUSICIANS who played their INSTRUMENTS on 'Viva Elvis - The Album'.

Elvis Presley (Lead Vocals)
Erich Van Tourneau (bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano and keyboards)
Dea Norberg, Jennlee Shallow, Sherry St-Germain, Stacie Tabb (guest singers)
Patrick Lavergne and JS "The Flash" Chouinard (basses)
Mike Plant, Steve Nadeau, Martin Bachand and Paul Deslauriers (electric guitars)
Olivier Goulet (acoustic guitar)
Guy Belanger (harmonica)
DJ Pocket (scratch)

The album's horn section includes:
Jean-Francois Thibeault (trombone)
Bruno Dumont (saxophone)
David Perrico (trumpet)
Jean-Francois Gagnon (flugel horn)

In the last few shows we have heard some rather mouth dropping comments which are still hard to believe were ever said and then again some really
sense making comments from two people on the opposite ends of the fan ages. There was the 65 years young Arthur who showed how even when Elvis
was alive, some fans refused to buy Elvis' records because the style changed from Rock 'N' Roll to Pop and then the teenager Kara, who showed us how
she as a youngster got into Elvis thanks to the 2002 remix of 'A Little Less Conversation' and then went on to buy the '30 # 1s' album and has been
collecting Elvis since. I have to say that I agree with Leon Goads last paragraph regarding how sad it is to see Elvis fans rejoicing over the fact this latest
Elvis album has flopped.

Also, the whole crap about Remixes are no different to IMPS and that Remixes are harming Elvis is the some of the biggest load of b###ocks I have ever
heard. And this from someone who supports something that is the single most harmful thing that has ever happened to turn Elvis into a joke in the minds of
todays youth....IMPS!

Great show this week guys.
Hey Lee, I wonder if you will get another email from Chrisy accusing you of pushing sales again? After all you do have an advert and a link to 'Blue
Christmas' the new Elvis Christmas album release from Sony. Looking forward to hearing her strategy for getting Elvis' music to appeal to the young crowd.

I love the cut of your jib Lee. What a great idea, yes, while Chrisy is adamant to do away with things like the Viva Elvis album (and I assume the show as
well) let's hear from her how Sony should ensure they can attract today's youth to the music of Elvis and to make him relevant in todays music.

Lee mentioned how his daughter see's Elvis as being old music and yet is getting into the Beatles. Well all over the TV screens this weekend was adverts
for the Beatles. There were a peak time commercials during EVERY commercial break announcing that the Beatles were now on i-tunes. There were peak
time commercials for the Beatles Red and Blue hits albums. This weekends X-Factor was the Beatles music and those commercials were all shown around
this show that attracts MILLIONS and MILLIONS of viewers. And during many of the acts performances there were images of the Beatles being shown on
the huge screens behind them on the stage.

Why wasn't this done for Elvis the week before??? The show should have been used to tie in with a massive advertising campaign to tell the whole of the
UK that this amazing new album was coming out on the Monday. But we got NOTHING.....I would not mind betting that in a few weeks the X-Factor will do a
Michael Jackson week and that weekend will be used to advertise the new album coming out in December.

Again, all Elvis got was that joke of a man, Wagner, who performed 2 Elvis songs badly and dressed like another idiot IMP.

But what I find even more frustrating is all those people like Chrisy who are spitting on the album and who are gloating and sniggering because Viva Elvis
has flopped. Why would any Elvis fan want to see something that at long last paints Elvis and his amazing voice in a positive light to fail?

All this happiness that this has been a flop will only cause Sony to conclude that Elvis is no longer a relevant artist and is no longer capable of moving large
numbers of units and will in all probability result in the end of any future big budget releases and all we will get is the odd Christmas and Gospel CD's and
of course a greatest hits compilations aimed at the casual fan every few years. Yes, Sony have failed Elvis with the lack of promotion but the fans have
failed him for not backing a project which for once shows Elvis in a positive light.

My eldest, who's 17 coming on 18 next week, only listens to heavy metal and other modern music...now, traveling in the car the other day I put my Viva
Elvis CD on and waited for his reaction. Now, bearing in mind, he has Elvis playing in the household by yours truly most days and, to him, is regarded as a
'nuisance', well... he actually said... I might have to have this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very similar comments have been made by my other son's mate too! But they also have said..."I didn't even know that this is in the shops"!

As has been mentioned many times by Elvis fans, his music has always been mixed through the years. Period. We have to move with the times if Elvis's
name is to survive in the future. Elvis worked too hard during his career to be forgotten by today's and future generations. Let's not forget that one of his
last comments was 'Do you think they'll remember me?'

Elvis was about 'EXCITEMENT'. He gave us the shivers down the spine when a new record came out. Elvis is gone and everything's been released. I
believe that 'VIVA ELVIS' and 'Mean as Me' re-ignite this Elvis excitement with a new modern, quality, sound that Elvis deserves.

Yes, these mixes will never be as good as the originals, but we have to admit that us fans listen to his music in isolation. He is the best in our eyes and
ears, but, If we were in charge of his record company today, what would we do to make him appeal to a new audience with today's expectations in up-to-
date sound?

Elvis is for the future as much as the past.

The whole Remixes are no different to IMPS and telling fans to go listen to Tom Jones because they are obviously bored of listening to Elvis' original
recordings has to be two of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen thrown out to fellow Elvis fans. And there was more things written which would keep
me here for way to long if I tackled all of them. But for crying out loud is miss Chrisy really that naive to think all the recordings are how Elvis wanted them to
be? Listen up lady, Elvis was not happy with the way Suspicious Minds and most other stuff from the American Sessions were mixed so you had better
dispose of things like them, after all Elvis was not happy with them was he!!!

Hey Lee and Joe, excellent show.
Well, I am lost for words over what has been going on lol. Now then, I myself don't like the remixes, not because of what Elvis might have liked or not liked
but because I like that era of music, the 50's, 60's and certain 70's recordings. Yes, there are also some 70's Elvis recordings that I am not too keen on but
getting back to this remix debate. Ok, so I don't like them, but that does not mean I am against them. I personally believe that these remixes will actually
attract today's kids to Elvis which can only be a good thing.

I was lost for words with Chrisy saying because Lee plays remixes then he may as well play some numpty in a jumpsuit trying to sing Elvis songs and also
accusing fans being tired of hearing Elvis' original recordings. I also felt that in the original message Chrisy was trying to say Lee was actually trying to
manipulate listeners by playing the remixes on the show. I am also struggling to work out how Chrisy can be so passionate about remixes being fake and
leaving the wrong impression for future generations when she obviously supports IMPS who are the single biggest reason that Elvis and Elvis fans are
considered a joke.

I have a daughter in her early teens who likes the new Viva Elvis album, but looks at Elvis as a joke. I talked with her and wanted to delve into this deeper
because she is interested in the Beatles who at the moment her and her friends are all into and don’t see them as being a joke or has been' and what I
came away with is that the main reason my daughter and her friends did not hold Elvis in the same respect as the Beatles is IMPS, they see what Lee has
said on previous shows, the caricature Elvis which has been imprinted on society thanks to the IMPS and their actions. They think most Elvis fans dress up
like these IMPS and act like the way they do. Take the recent X-Factor show, last week was Elton John week and how did they dress Wagner? In a tails
type outfit....nothing like taking the piss out of Elton John and his outrageous clothes, but the week before that Wagner sang 'Viva Las Vegas/The Wonder
Of You' and dressed him in a crappy jumpsuit and this is all thanks to the general thought that if its Elvis then most people dress up and its seen as a fun
joke. And while it may contribute to sales for merchandise, when it comes to Elvis the singer, he is all but ignored.

So Chrisy should be venting her outrage at IMPS and not something that could well help bring the next generation to Elvis because it's the IMPS that are
pushing them away and in the end Elvis the singer will be all but forgotten.

I have listened to Viva Elvis over and over again and I'm pretty sure that it is Elvis who is singing on that album and it sounds pretty damn good to me.
There have been a few points raised regarding Chrisy's cry of it's not real and it's not what Elvis wanted or its not how Elvis recorded it in the studio, and I
would also like to know how Chrisy feels about SPLICED takes? After all, they were not how Elvis left them in the studio right? I mean isn't taking take 4 and
take 17 of a song and mixing them together the same as creating something that is not real according to Chrisy's outlook? After all, REAL is REAL and
FAKE is FAKE right!!! I tell you Lee, you are gonna have hardly any songs to play if you decide to take on the Chrisy standpoint. Oh, you can play IMPS
trying to sing Elvis because there is nothing FAKE about those right Chrisy?

SONY have let down Elvis in a huge way with this album release. I believe they have ignored him to concentrate all their efforts on the Boyle and the
Jackson releases. Around twelve and a half thousand copies sold in all of the united states is inexcusable...not only has Sony failed Elvis but are we to
really believe only twelve and a half thousand Elvis fans knew of this release and supported it? Even a tiny Island like the UK sold more copies than the
States and with ridiculous arguments like what we have seen from Chrisy being put forward I can see why Sony and the radio stations could not be
bothered to promote it. I'm sorry but the fact that many fans have ignored this album and even gloated that it has done so badly will wind up seeing things
change forever....Chrisy goes on about the next generation, I don't think she need worry because all we will be seeing from now on will be a hits album
every so often and that's that, nothing else and Elvis will slip further and further away from future generations because we did not help attract them NOW! I
seriously feel that Jackson and the Beatles will surpass Elvis in sales and popularity in the future, but that's ok as long as those who are here now get what
they want who cares about the future of Elvis????

OMG - To insinuate that just because I or any other fan enjoys these remixes of Elvis' recordings is like we are saying Elvis' original music is not good
enough is frankly stupid. I have not heard a single person say anything remotely near that. I have heard that by doing such things can and do attract
today's youth to the music of Elvis that we ALL love to hear.

That would be like me or anyone else saying that because you like listening to an IMP, it's like saying Elvis' real voice is not good enough for you anymore,
you would not like that right?

Then to say "if you get tired of hearing the old, I would suggest that you find someone else...like Tom Jones? Try him out you will come back to Elvis real
fast." Again, what the hell are you going on about? Does it need pointing out again that nobody is tired of hearing ELVIS and as ELVIS is the one SINGING
on the remixes why the hell would going to listen to someone like Tom Jones be an option? This is as ridiculous as the Elvis Remixes are the same as IMPS
comment before.

I don't get tired of hearing the original Elvis either, but I also enjoy hearing Elvis in great new remakes like the Viva Elvis album or the Born To Rock mix. As
for the word IMP, that's just an short version of IMPersonator, just as you use ETA as a short version of Estimated Time of Arrival (he, he, he)....and why
you need to bring up about contributing to people less fortunate, what the hell is that got to do with the idea of Remixes and IMPS being the same thing? A
comparison you yourself made and what other listeners have responded to.

Again you state "There is still no division in comparison, I hope eventually the Re-mix's run their course because it is taking away the originality of Elvis's
music through and through." While you charge remixes with this claim and while you compare them to IMPS, you must therefore come to the same
conclusion about IMPS and that they are also "taking away the originality of Elvis's music through and through." And why you need to point out that these
comments are yours and not your husbands is beyond me personally, I did not think for one moment your husband was saying this because I myself heard
Joe read your comment out on the show and so why you need to state this is a head scratcher for me I'm afraid.

In reply to Chrisy's comment of Elvis remixes are no different to IMPS, what a totally ludicrous thing to say. As has already been pointed out, the remixes
still feature the voice of Elvis and with some cases the voice is actually clearer than on the original. I am currently at work but I had to reply to Chrisy's latest
comment - if you get tired of hearing the old, I would suggest that you find someone else...like Tom Jones - this is again a ludicrous thing to say because to
say such a thing says that we are not listening to Elvis Presley anymore, but I AM and so too are all those other people who are enjoying the new album.
What your comment insinuates is we are not real fans like you? I can't understand how anyone can listen to someone else trying to sing Elvis songs or
dressing up as him....maybe if you like this type of thing you should go find someone else like Tom Jones because maybe it would not be too long before
you came running back to the voice of Elvis real fast.

So, now Chrisy says that by not releasing the original recordings of Elvis is doing harm to his musical legacy! And her stance on IMPS are what????
Right then, so let's say we do what Chrisy is saying and only release the stuff Elvis wanted out. In her own words; "Would Elvis had wanted his music Re-
mixed? Maybe..but I think he liked it the way it was or it would not have been recorded as such."

OK she says in reply to her own question of would Elvis have wanted his music remixed? "Maybe...but I think" which translates to.....Maybe Elvis would want
them done, we just do not know.....But I don't like them and so nobody else should and they should never be released because I don't like them....That
really is what "Maybe...but I think" equates to.

But, let's say we do what she says and only release the songs how Elvis himself wanted them....I hope Chrisy does not own the following!
No Outtakes to ever be released!
No Undubbed masters to ever be released!
No new recordings released (after all, Elvis might not have wanted those out?)!
No home recordings ever to be released!
Lisa Marie Presley should never have recorded her duets with Elvis!
No Duets of any kind ever again!
No concerts not officially recorded by RCA and with Elvis' knowledge that they were to be released as an album!

So, if we all go the Chrisy route that we only have the things Elvis wanted out then we would only have the original studio and soundtrack albums and these
live albums...'Elvis NBC TV Special', 'Elvis In Person', 'On Stage', Madison Square Garden', 'Aloha From Hawaii', 'Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis' and
the 'In Concert' set. And as for accusing people of being tired of hearing Elvis' original recordings just because they enjoy Elvis remixes is pathetic.

REAL is REAL and FAKE is FAKE.......Or as I like to say, ELVIS is REAL and IMPS are FAKES. I am NOT backing down on this either.
I'm sick to death of hearing this thing of "Would Elvis have wanted......?" YOU DO NOT KNOW IF HE WOULD LIKE THIS DONE OR NOT! Nobody does but if
these remixes either now or in the future attract new fans then I say BRING THEM ON, because at the end of the day the main thing is Elvis is singing
LOUD and PROUD.

But one of the things that is really getting up my nose is how Chrisy is coming over all arrogant with comments like "I am here to make you think" and her
opening comment of REAL is REAL and FAKE is FAKE but at the same time she thinks IMPS are a good thing?

Also, all this attitude of not wanting remixes because its not what Elvis would want but I bet you my entire collection that Chrisy will have on CD, Elvis
outtakes, Undubbed songs, Bootlegs, concerts, home recordings all of which Elvis would not apparently want released. Sorry but you can't come over all
righteous for what Elvis would want when you also have things like those in your collection. Chrisy, if you really want to help Elvis' image for future
generations then put a stop to IMPS everywhere because they are what helps keep Elvis a no go in the minds of todays youth.

Now the latest accusation that fans who like the album are tired of hearing Elvis originals is just insane. I will be looking forward to Friday and seeing how

Can I just point out that Chrisy wrote "I never said for anyone to stop playing all the Re mix's as Kara stated. I said there were a lot of them being played." I
just wanted to say that Lee said on the show that it's called the request show and he plays what is requested.
I cannot recall hearing Chrisy's name in any of the recent shows and so may I suggest that if she or anyone else who does not like so many remixes being
played request their own songs in order to ensure the ones they want played are played. Like Mark from Manchester, he has requested the masters he
wanted to really hear and also made his statement that he did not like the album but it was done light hearted and fun and did not once accuse Lee of
something about not keeping Elvis real. As Kara points out, on the top of the EER website it has always said...All your Elvis music needs here on E.E.R -

Sorry to stand tall on this one, REAL is REAL and FAKE is FAKE. I am not backing down on this.

I am sorry to hear someone has to call people names to make people laugh or stir up drama for editorial.

My question of 'Keeping Elvis Real' on the EER site was never answered on the show by Lee?
Perhaps everyone has their own opinion, maybe a little Elvis is real, maybe a lot of Elvis is even better.

I am not here to try to convince you what to listen to or to play, I am here to make you think...what it could be doing to future generations
of Elvis fans and why is this change necessary?

Would Elvis had wanted his music Re-mixed? Maybe..but I think he liked it the way it was or it would not have been recorded as such.

I never said for anyone to stop playing all the Re mix's as Kara stated. I said
there were a lot of them being played. For the teenagers, maybe that is

what they want to hear, but it is still not the original versions.

It's like saying that Elvis's original music is not good enough now, that is what it seems.

Well if you get tired of hearing the old, I would suggest that you find someone
else...like Tom Jones? Try him out you will come back to Elvis real fast.

Honestly we never get tired of hearing the original music of Elvis because he is
and was the best.

As for Lee's word 'IMPS' I find it name calling directed towards someone that
you do not know, or even Lee who has never spoken to my husband.
Let me remind you all, yes I wrote the letter not my husband.
He has a real job, not as a ETA, but then again sometimes he is an ETA when he
is, most is for charity work, like lets see:

The Cancer Society, Christmas Childrens Funds, St. Judes Hospital and others.
You see we are real people, and categorizing us through name calling is
immaturity with a child's mentality. Can any of you here
say that you contribute to those who are less fortunate? I hope so.

There is still no division in comparison, I hope eventually the Re-mix's run
their course because it is taking away the originality of Elvis's

music through and through. That is my opinion, I own it and not my husband.

Kara In Southampton
(Regarding The Elvis Request Show)
I'm a teenager and an Elvis fan and I would like to give over my thoughts regarding the current debate raised by EER listener, Chrisy on this weeks edition
of the Elvis Request Show with Lee and Joe.

From the outset, to say that as Lee plays remixes (as requested) on his show he may as well play IMPS is not a very well thought out analogy. It's already
been well pointed out by both Lee on the show and listeners here that remixes contain the voice of Elvis and an IMP is, well just an IMP and not Elvis.
Chrisy said Lee is "encouraging the change of the real Elvis music into Remixes." And if he is then I applaud him, as I said I'm a teenager who loves Elvis
and first got into him through a remix and then got to enjoy his hits and after finding this amazing show, I found Elvis' wonderful body of work which I am still
discovering today but I also love the new Viva Elvis album and I can honestly say I have played this album to friends of mine who poke fun at Elvis and at
me for liking him, and they all have said they like the songs that are on the album. Actually, one comment I recall is, "If there were more Elvis songs like
these then he would be more enjoyable, more accepted."

Someone wrote below that today teens put the music before the voice in what they hear and I must agree with this. Most teens around my age all buy a CD
or download a song for the music and the vocal comes second and what the Viva Elvis people have done is create a fantastic modern album which I firmly
believe could have become a massive hit with the current young crowd if they were made aware of it by video's on MTV or VH1 or being played on radio
shows.

Lee is also accused by Chrisy of pushing sales. And this is a bad thing? Lee has been encouraging fans to go out and buy this album, he has bought both
UK versions himself as I have also. The single disc and the double disc versions and I say good on him for doing so. Lee has never made a secret of
encouraging fans of Elvis to buy the album from HMV, Amazon UK or anywhere else that counts towards the chart stats and he has done this to try to get
Elvis the highest chart placing and hoping for a number one album which would result in more airplay and then more people my age hearing these great
new versions and then hopefully this would bring them closer to ALL Elvis recordings. I have heard Lee do the same with such releases as 'Elvis 75', 'Elvis
Presley Sings The Great British Songbook' and 'Elvis The King'. He has also promoted import albums and budget releases but I have never heard you
attack Lee for pushing these releases?

Chrisy also wrote that the remixes take away the true sound that Elvis himself mixed? I think you will find that while Elvis produced his own recording
sessions, he had very little to do with the actual mixing of the finished product. As a matter of fact, most of Elvis' recordings in the 1970's actually had
"Overdub Sessions" which took place after the first recording session with Elvis and his group. Sometimes Elvis was not even at the first sessions and
would go along on another date to record his voice over the session tapes. And again, those songs would then be "Overdubbed" in a separate session
and would feature musicians not used by Elvis or even met by him. Also, remember that on many of Elvis' sessions in the 70's, the TCB Band was not used
in them all.

I know I'm only a teenager but I feel that it should be pointed out that in my eyes and from my age group point of view, Lee is actually doing the right thing
in pushing this release to get it heard by my peers, I have seen and heard the reaction to this album from people who consider Elvis music to be old
fashion and out of touch with todays music and those same people thought Viva Elvis was brilliant.....where is the bad thing in that???? But to use Chrisy's
analogy, I can confirm that one of the biggest things that make today's teens my age not want their friends to know they like Elvis, it's the people who walk
around in jumpsuits thinking they look good? This type of thing, the IMP, that is more damaging to Elvis in today's youth more than any backing music. Be it
on stage sounding terrible thinking they can sing or walking around and having Elvis fans wanting to get their pictures taken with them or asking for their
autograph in their jumpsuits, it is this that is killing the future for Elvis as a music icon...So before you accuse Lee of harming Elvis by pushing remixes, you
should look closer to home at the damage done and being done thanks to the IMPS. Yes, Joe is right when he said what is more important to you, listening
to Elvis' voice or listening to the hired gun on the instruments behind him?

Rockers sure does look like a cool album and I will be grabbing a copy. It's good to know you two guys are behind this classic looking cover, but what was a
great looking album in a nice limited edition gold vinyl, I see today, only a few days after this the company now release a multi coloured vinyl and of course
the picture disc. Why is it the guy in charge at Rockwell takes a cool collectors item release and ruins it by milking it for all its worth by issuing as many
different versions as possible? A real shame, it really is a real shame.

Hey Lee and Joe another fantastic 3 hours this week!!!!!
I just cracked up laughing when that letter came up of someone stating that an Elvis remix and a Elvis imp is the same. I had to rewind that part a few times
to make sure I was hearing it correctly!!!! An Elvis remix, whether good or bad still feature Elvis' voice (the greatest entertainer ever) and an imp is nothing
close to Elvis at all, they are just a bunch of ass-clowns that makes Elvis look like a joke!!!!!

With the Viva Elvis album I do not think it is the worst album ever (in my opinion things like having fun on stage with Elvis (talking only no songs) and
burning love and hits from his movies (2 current singles and the rest were average movie songs) were worse just my opinion though.

I think Viva Elvis is a pretty good album and there are a few songs that I really like!!!! I say keep doing good remixes of Elvis songs because like you guys
said Elvis is not here anymore to record new stuff and since we have the masters, outtakes and live stuff, remixes are the only way we fans will get new
stuff.
Keep up with all the awesome shows you guys give us fans!!!!

Hey Lee, You imp promoter.
Promoting the imps by playing remixes and raking in a fortune for it. LOL
Part of Chrissy's argument is that if the musicians who played on the original recordings were not used in later versions of those songs they should be
considered remixes and should not be played on the Request Show.
But Elvis used different musicians on stage between 1969 to 1977 than the ones who were used in the original 50's and 60's studio recordings. That must
mean Elvis himself was just like an imp. OMG!  So to appease Chrissy, I guess you'll have to stop playing most live tracks recorded between 1969 to 77.
Because according to her they are imp-ified remixes. LOL

To accuse Lee of not promoting Elvis is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. I'm sorry but how the hell can you write in and say "personally
in our opinion, You are encouraging the change of the real Elvis music into Remixes, and this is something that we do not like to hear." When you yourself
are married to an IMP who changes the REAL Elvis music altogether and in the most important way, by REMOVING the VOICE of ELVIS altogether. And to
actually and seriously say an Elvis Remix is no different to an IMP has to be one of the most idiotic statements in all the years of Elvis fandom.

The whole comparison between Elvis singing with modern backing and an IMP being the same thing is so crazy it's hard to even write a reply to this in any
calm manner. The whole message was crazy, simply crazy and I will support Lee when he says he promotes any Elvis release, he does this in almost every
show for some album or other but to be accused of only being concerned with sales because he is promoting 'Viva Elvis - The Album' is flaming insane and
unfair. Long live Elvis Express Radio and long live the amazing voice of Elvis Presley.

I'm sorry but I had to rewind the message that Joe read out from the lady who was having a pop at Lee. First of all I thought the remark that Lee was
pushing sales was just about the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard....that was until the comment saying that Lee was being a hypocrite because Elvis
remixes were no different to an IMP...lmfao, please this is a joke right? I think Lee summed it up well enough that the difference was ELVIS.....Elvis Presley
was SINGING on the remix and yes it is somewhat rich for this lady to attack Lee for playing remixes because they don’t have Elvis' original musicians on
them and then to find out she is married to an IMP who, yes it is true my dear, does not have ANY of Elvis' original musicians backing him AND does not
have the most important part of the picture............ELVIS' VOICE!

(Regarding The Elvis Request Show)
Hey, great show as always this week and once again showing that EER is the place that allows anyone to have their say. No matter what they come out
with. This is one of the things I love about Elvis Express Radio, Lee has always encouraged we listeners to share our opinions and in the same respect we
must accept that Lee can have his reply to our thoughts without that listener running off saying "I'm not listening to that show anymore, Lee don't agree with
me", mind you there have been a few of those come and go.

I love the new Viva Elvis album, it is a genuinely brilliant album that has done Elvis' voice so much justice and brought him smack into the 21st Century but I
must defend it from Chrisy' uninformed slating.

I am taking a transcript from what Joe read out and she wrote "In today's world the computer generated music is very distinguishable and to a true musician
cheap and lazy". Now Lee did touch on this, the new album is re-worked by using REAL instruments and many are played by the albums producer and
uses musicians that are used to play the music LIVE during the Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas and there is still original musicians used on the album as
well. Yes a state of the art music program was used, but to just shrug an album of this quality off with a comment calling it "Lazy" is both unjust and
uninformed.

I look forward to hearing Chrisy answer Lee regarding 'Tomorrow Night', this was indeed re-worked and they COMPLETELY REMOVED Scotty Moore and
Bill Black. It's not like SONY have taken 12 Elvis songs, re-worked them and then destroyed the original versions. These new songs are designed to keep
Elvis in the forefront. What is the biggest selling Elvis single of all time - "A Little Less Conversation (Elvis vs JXL)" - This ONE song brought Elvis to millions
of people who did not own one Elvis release and many of those people  went out and bought 'Elvis 30 Number Ones", making this album Elvis' biggest
selling album, therefore exposing millions of people to Elvis' original recordings and that album became the first Elvis album to appear on the American
Billboard album chart in 22 years and the first American Number One album in 29 years. All thanks to a remix exposing Elvis to millions of people.

Face it, Elvis is considered OLD to kids today and those kids could be tomorrows fans if they hear something they like. The majority of kids don’t care
about a voice, it's about the music.

But with that all said, the whole argument was kinda lost after the comment that an Elvis Remix and an Elvis IMP are no different. WHAT??? Joe said a good
one, it's a question of what you want to hear the most, Elvis or a guitar player or a drummer? Me, its Elvis that I want to hear and to make the comparison
that Chrisy did is one of the most outrageous things I have ever heard.

Regarding the Baby Bossa Nova issue. I cannot see the harm in it personally. It's certainly not some sad sack in a jumpsuit pretending he is someone else.
I agree that it is a cute video that could very well bring Elvis' voice to people who would never normally listen to it.

OMG did I hear that one listener correct? Did she say that the Elvis remixes are no different to an IMP? Err NO! You see the difference is one has Elvis
singing his songs with a new modern backing and the other has some guy singing Elvis songs badly with a crappy karaoke backing music CD. I feel sorry
for her daily dilemma because she says Elvis remixes are bad and doing Elvis no good and then she says that Elvis remixes are no different to IMPS. She
is married to an IMP and so if the remix is no different to an IMP then does that mean an IMP is bad for Elvis also?

Sorry but Viva Elvis is a really great album that is a delight to listen to and will never hurt the legacy of Elvis Presley, while IMPS are and always will be
damaging to Elvis Presley. Joe is so right, I also did what Lee said and under headphones with your eyes shut is like an explosion of Elvisness, haunting
moments where you would swear Elvis was sitting next to you and singing in your ear to great rockin moments and hearing little snippets of things taken
from other Elvis songs. Elvis talking in the studio to a producer or moments taken from films, Viva Elvis really is a masterpiece of Elvis music for the 21st
Century and the only crime to Elvis is the fact that thanks to this one being ignored by so many and not getting the full backing and promoting it
everywhere that means there will not be a volume 2 and so we can only hope that FTD get around to releasing the 30 odd remaining songs given this
amazing new treatment............Finally, forget the music and listen to this album because it's some of the clearest and most vibrant Elvis voice I have heard
on CD for a long time.

I did buy the new album and while I am not too keen on all of them, I do like 'Suspicious Minds', 'Heartbreak Hotel' and 'Thats All Right'. I would never
compare a remix to some IMP and neither would I say these type of releases are doing harm to Elvis. In fact I would say the opposite and it's keeping still
that will only harm Elvis. As we all get older and die off then so too does Elvis unless the younger fans can be attracted and shown the way to Elvis and his
original work. If Elvis stood still and continued to only record rock-a-billy then he's career would have died off back in the 1960's just like so many others did
who did not change with the times. Old Arthur was so right in what he wrote....by the way, belated birthday wishes....Elvis changed with the times and this is
no different. It's all about Elvis' voice, not the bloke playing the instrument behind him.

I do feel I have to comment about the crazy comparison that because Lee plays Elvis remixes then he should also play IMPS as both are the same because
the backing musicians have changed. What an absolutely stupid thing to say, I'm sorry but how can anyone with an ounce of savvy say that the two are
basically the same thing. I can listen to Elvis with a new backing while I would not listen to an IMP in a million years.

On the subject of Elvis in the American media, I would say JC has hit the nail on the head. The media have turned Jacko into some hero and they are the
same media who were hounding him when he was alive. It does show how crazy the States have become when a mentally unstable, plastic surgery
addicted, child molesting, drug addict is lifted to almost God like status while Elvis is pissed on and laughed at thanks to those hordes of IMPS that are all
over the country. The question of what the is difference between an Elvis Remix and an IMP? Well to help out someone who obviously supports IMPS, the
difference is the remix has Elvis, who is fantastic doing singing, while the IMP is somewhat not fantastic. Hope that helps.

Excellent show this week Lee and Joe.
Was that message Joe read out serious? The one where Lee was asked if he was simply pushing sales - But he doesn’t sell anything right - He was asked
what difference is it between playing Elvis remixes or playing IMPS - Now that one went too far, how could it be taken serious after that one lol.
I also loved the one where in generations to come people will be selling the remixes on ebay thinking it was the original Elvis music because it is all they
had...so for some reason every Elvis record ever sold on single, EP, album, 8track, cassette, CD, Mini-disc and whatever else, over a BILLION records sold
and those future generations would never have heard a single Elvis song? Of course we know that could never happen because future generations will
have had at least 50 different greatest hits compilations released by then.....oh the joy, we can add Hound Dog to our collections, again and again!

any kind of music they throw at him.  His vocal artistry is so incredible he always sounds good, even if the music behind him doesn't.  And the remixes are I

Dee Stanley can rot in hell and I absolutely applaud what Lee said about this woman and her vicious vile stories. I too would like to see if her boys will come

Glad to hear Joe regarding the whole collectors issue or for that matter any issue because nobody has picked on Joe in any way and it's good to hear that

Sorry, I was not aware anyone had done anything to warrant a remark like "Lay off Joe". I did not get any impression that anyone was getting at Joe? All I
heard were fans commenting on an issue brought up on the show and myself included, brining up an subject that was said on the show previously and
asking a question on that matter. I thought it was ok to ask a question regarding something said on the show? Nobody was picking on Joe or attacking Joe
in any way to have to lay off him? Gee, what would happen if someone actually attacked Joe like Leo and a few others have attacked Lee in the past? I was
surprised when Joe said he will keep things to himself from now on. From listening to EER for such a long time now I really do not feel he was joking when
he said that, you could feel the tension, even Lee was taken aback at one point.

Regarding the comment that if fans want to see or hear unreleased things in the hands of collectors they should put up the money or shut up...I wonder if
that same rule applies to FTD's or other Elvis albums that have been released where fans who want to hear them pay out the money to own these
unreleased things in their collections but some people...and Joe has said this many times...will not pay the price but are happy with free copies downloaded
from the web while others stump up the cash to hear them. I'm not having a go or causing a fight but I am simply applying the same attitude and way of
thinking as what has been said.

I will happily apologise to Joe if I made him feel that I was having a go at him and from the reaction on the show and now this, I myself will certainly "Lay off
Joe" from now on. Do I like Joe on the show, hell yes. Was I having a go at Joe, hell no. That's all I will say on this matter from now on, let's just all agree
that we disagree and I guess this is one topic that should be avoided from now on.

then just give it away? The question I'll ask all of you who criticize collectors is...how much are you willing to pay to have a look at what they bought?  If it's
that important to you, pull your money together and make them an offer....
100 pounds a piece, 200 pounds a piece to see it?  What's it worth to you, it was obviously worth a lot to them to acquire the piece...want a peek...pony up

I have just been reading your news page and regarding the headline 'ARE WE BEING SHORT CHANGED?'. It looks like we are!
When I was in Memphis at the insiders conference, they played the new 'Suspicious Minds'. I told you back then that I was really looking forward to this
album.

I still remember that feeling when I heard the new 'Suspicious Minds' through the big sound system they were using, and yes it blew me away. like I said
before you're never gonna beat the original, but it was something fresh and new to listen to and I still feel the same. I love what they have done.

So like you I'm thinking this album is going to be something special? Well now I have my doubts. I agree, it is hard to comment on 30 second samples, but
so far I'm not impressed.

I remember EPE saying at the conference that there would be no duets....did they lie?
Well, we now know that some countries will get a duet with 'Love Me Tender' and from those 30 second samples it sounds like there are a couple of duets
on the album too?

Like you say, what happened to the other songs they had remade for this album? Is there going to be a Vol 2? Are there medleys involved?

So many questions, or could this all be a red herring? By that I mean are they going to reveal a better track listing on day of release?

Like you say, if its right then we are only getting 9 Elvis songs. Whats with the instrumentals?

From all the hype EPE are giving us, I truly hope it's as good as they say it is?  I just don't get what's going on? From being excited about these release I
have gone to being very disappointed and short changed again. I'm sure most fans feel the same. please EPE prove us wrong.
Keep up the great work guys.
regards and respect colin.

find time to play Elvis in my spare time it is great to know i can play back the show over the weekend and get my fix of a good mix of Elvis music and up to

So far i have only managed to listen to the request show and have yet to listen to Lana's love show but i will make the effort in the coming week and play

Can i also pass on my thanks to Joe for giving up his time and helping present the show along with Lee because you make a fun pairing and make the

I will also have a think about making a request for next Fridays show but with some many favourites it is a difficult job.

In today's world of internet and free media it seems a lot of Elvis fans now take things for granted and forget the lean times of the 80's where if you got one
alternate take on a album you was over the moon,so today a lot of fans forget how lucky we are to even have our own radio station dedicated to Elvis and
to have fellow fans give up their own time to host these shows.I can only pass on my thanks to you all and hope you can keep the great music coming for a

One site I have been looking in on is called For Elvis CD Collectors and their forum. Reading through the various and often interesting topics, I got the
impression that some people there were a little rude and unfair to other fans and then something happened that made me take a whole new view on things
as an Elvis fan. On this forum someone called PEP started a thread about EER which was cool to see but then after a few comments someone calling
themselves tcb1 posted the most disgraceful and vicious comment about Lee. This was nothing short of vindictive, slanderous and a total deformation of
character. It was nice to see other EER listeners come to the defence of Lee but I was happy when the moderator removed the offending posts from this
character. What this person did, I can't call him a man, what this person did has shown me that the Elvis World is not a nice place to be and while I will

Hello there Lee, while looking around the net this week, a post came up on the fecc website titled, do you listen to EER if so why, and if not why not, most of
these responses were varied onto why they did or did not listen, which was fair enough.

There was a Muppet by the name of tcb1, who posted that the host (that's you Lee) has the charm of a dead cat, also he begs for donations, and if I want
to help pay for his Chinese food then so be it. Fact is guys, you don't need me to stand up to this idiot, also in replying to me, he suggested a personal
attack on yourself (which I can understand if you do not want to read this next bit out). He stated that he has seen you out and about and look fine and
suggested that you cheat a UK government of benefit.

Now the post was why you do or do not listen to EER...he basically had a go at you for a number of reasons, which in my opinion is out of order. Fact is
Lee, Joe and Lana you dedicate your time to Elvis and I respected you for this, I asked tcb1 to reveal himself to you lee and let his comments be
challenged. No such reply from him. But I did see that the moderator PEP was in disagreement with TCB1 comments, thus I believed he has now removed
the post.

and does not try to sell, sell, sell to the fans who visit or listen. Yes, this type of person is why I personally cancelled my subscription with the Elvis magazine
I read and stopped going to Elvis events. Lee I will always listen to the shows you bring us.

On last Friday's Request Show someone asked why the moderator at FECC did not kick that s### b#g who goes by TCB1 off of the forum for those
disgusting things that he posted about Lee. I think I might have the answer. It may be because of Lee's stance on imps.

Although the moderator at FECC did a noble thing by removing that offensive post by TCB1, he may have chose not to ban TCB1 from the forum due to
the fact that the moderator is an imp supporter.

Last August during Elvis week the forum moderator posted a very long interview that he did with Elvis imp Jamie Arron Kelley.
I thought it was in poor taste that he chose to honor some nobody imp on his forum during Elvis week instead of posting something positive about the real
Elvis. Maybe the FECC moderator is a bit offended by Lee's anti imp stance, and that is why he is giving this piece of trash who goes by TCB1 a free pass
and has allowed him to remain on the forum.

TCB1 didn't just express an opinion, he accused Lee of committing a crime. This was a serious violation of the forums rules and regulations. So why wasn't
he kicked off the forum? EER listeners should send e-mails to the moderator at FECC and put pressure on him to ban TCB1 from the forum permanently.

Saw your story about the music polls in which Elvis was beaten out by a few artists and allow me to suggest why that happened.

You can basically chalk it up to generational differences. Most of those artists came along later than Elvis and many of the people alive today were babies
when those artists arrived.  Elvis' generation, with the exception of his generations children who were weaned on Elvis by their parent,is dying off.

Many of his generation don't read those magazines or bother to watch or participate in these polls.  In addition most of today's media are in the younger
generation, sure they know of Elvis but they know more about others.  As for Jackson, he is basically of the younger generation and he is still warm in the
grave and those young girls who idolized him are still teenagers and participate in things to make him big.

McCartney and Ringo are still alive and performing as are Dylan and Prince so they are still in the public's eye.

Elvis will never fade away, the proof is in the fact that over 600,000 people still visit Graceland after 33 years. No other artist will or can command that
devotion. The only way that can decrease or be ruined is if Priscilla and Lisa continue on the path of tackiness and greed they have been on, if they do
people are gonna' stop coming.

However, I think it's websites like EER and EIN and others that do excellent work in keeping Elvis' memory alive that play a big part in Elvis being here
forever.

What was said on this week’s show about Elvis week being so bad now with imps and being ripped off is right. If I ever go to Memphis again it will be at
another time instead of in Elvis week. And if the future of Elvis is imps (as Leo is saying) count me out. I’ll stay home and listen to/watch the real thing.

OMG, what the hell is the Irish fan club on about? I can only feel sorry for their members if the president of the fan club actually endorses the kind of idiotic
fabricated stories from that awful IMP who says he performed at Graceland for Elvis as Elvis and Vernon offered him a job as Elvis' double....YEAH RIGHT! I
wonder if the Irish fan club president would be willing to answer some questions on EER????

Hi Lee
Thank you for all the great shows last week and all the hard work you put into doing a fantastic tribute for Elvis' 33rd anniversary week.
We have been looking through the new Collectors Corner - it is like an Aladdin's cave! So much Elvis memorabilia out there, we only have a few bits and
pieces of what you have put on there! lol!

What a disgrace Elvis week turned out to be with not only the promotion of Elvis Imps but the bloody b******s actually had the nerve to go to the Vigil in their
costumes - what an insult to the greatest entertainer the world will ever know...

The Burning Love video clip from Viva Elvis is very cool, the concept is like Elvis In Concert, so the Viva Elvis knockers shouldn't find fault with that! but
suppose someone will lol!

Glad to hear John Wilkinson is doing well.
Thanks Lee, keep TCBing Elvis rocking forever love from Carol and Brenda

Just one thing though when you click on the concert items and it says it features all concert stuff from July 31 1969 to June 16 1977 wasnt elvis last concert
performance on June 26th 1977 I am not for sure but i thought it was June 26th not June 16th(I am not complaining) anyway the new collectors corner is
just simply AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Joe: We are hoping and praying that the surgery goes well for you and that you recover quickly.

As for the previous Imp comments on the board, people are people, disrespect is another thing that should not be tolerated.
We asked the guards at Graceland during the Vigil why they were allowing people on the ground dressed up like Elvis? Here is the response we received:
"The rule is: As long as they do not sing or perform on the grounds they can wear the clothes and be allowed to be here".
They also put in there that "This is the way some people choose to mourn Elvis" ???????????????????WTF????????????????????????

We still don't get that unless they are absolutely sick in the head they should not be doing this at Graceland and then if they are sick in the head they need
to be locked up somewhere.

One thing that really bothered me was the beer drinking bums..  I kid you not...there was a line of men sitting on the curb about 10 of them drunk...falling
over, dirty and gross...then there was a group of people who were stacking their large group of beer cans in the middle of the street like a trophy show of
drunk slobs....It is becoming a drunk fest........Anyway we had a good time other than those little problem areas...the Elvis On Tour VIP was a large rip off
though.

one place for fans to enjoy. Cannot wait for the singles part to come online. Loved looking at the LPs and EPs. Thanks again.

Regarding those IMPS in Memphis, I agree that they are all a disgrace and show Elvis not an ounce of respect. And I totally agree with Terri when she asks
what kind of fan would ever allow themselves to be seen with one of these IMPS around Graceland? These IMPS have gone to far and yes, every fan
should make it be known that these fools should show more respect to Elvis and his memory. Thankfully the team at Elvis Express Radio will never
associate themselves with this kind of moron.

should combat these people who show Elvis no respect what so ever. What kind of fan would ever allow themselves to be seen with one of these IMPS
around Graceland? All kidding aside with Joe, I am sure Joe would never be seen dead disrespecting Elvis' memory with some IMP, in a jumpsuit or not
while in Graceland. Thanks Colin for the report about the vigil and good on you for standing up for Elvis.

I also want to praise Marty Lacker for having his say about these damn IMPS. I am so fed up at seeing websites treating IMPS like they are some kind of
celebrity. I think EER is one of the last places that is all for Elvis only. I know that Lee does not even allow his show or site to be listed on IMP sites and I
have all the more respect for him in doing so.

I really wish Elvis' FTD's were allowed into the mainstream.  What bothers me are these releases counted toward his record sales.  They should be.  He
would have a lot more album sales.  Also can they earn gold, platinum or muti-platinum status.  Probably not being their not sold in the stores.  This is sad.
A lot of those FTD releases would have gone gold, platinum and muti-platinum.  I strongly believe this.  I did order Elvis'  double LP "Good Times-The
Outtakes".

You can tell Lady Ga Ga or whatever the hell she wants to be called.  She will never be as big or as good or as talented, loving, caring as "THE
GREATEST RECORDING ARTIST OF ALL TIME-ELVIS PRESLEY".  She can stick it in her hat.

Thank you for all you do to keep Elvis' memory alive.  TO YOU FANS I KNOW WE LIVE IN HARD TIMES PLEASE TRY TO HELP LEE TO KEEP HIS RADIO
PROGRAM ON THE INTERNET.  IF YOU CAN AFFORD SOMETHING IT'S BETTER THEN NOTHING.  GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Thanks for a great and funny show this week.
First of all $80 to see a movie is outrageous and borderline barmy! But then again $500 for a movie, nibbles and a picture with Esposito is just totally
insane. Joe's mate is friendly with Jack "Sod 'em"Soden...that wouldn’t be the IMP Joe was reported to have been seen with would it lmfao? Imagine that,
finding out Sod 'em Soden is friends with an IMP and that Joe toured Graceland with an IMP...OMG the thought is just too horrible to think of lol.

As for the Stanley's, they actually say sorry for all the LIES....What total ass-holes to come out and admit that now, all these years after they spread that
crap to the media and now their vile lies are in the public consciousness. Are they going to call a press conference and tell the worlds media that the stuff
they got paid for all those years ago were LIES! LIES! LIES! - No idea how Joe could have stayed in the room with them. As for Dee, that evil bitch will
never be forgiven or given the time of day by any decent Elvis fan after how she tried to sell the story that Elvis had sex with his own mother. The Stanley's

$160 for 2 tickets to see Elvis On Tour....was Joe and all the others there on drugs??? No other fans of any other singer would allow themselves to be
charged $80 bucks a pop to see a film nearly 40 years old.

into a room where there was a tv and TTWII was showing so I sat and watched it. I didn't budge even when my parents came, I wanted to just watch Elvis. I

I've been collecting Elvis all my life.  Now it ends.  It just is getting to expensive for me.  I have all the FTD releases.  When they decided to release "King
Creole " as a book this was the last straw for me.

They should of release it like the other movies soundtracks with a booklet and 1/2 the price.  In my opinion these CD's are not worth $29.98.  The LP's are
$40.98 these are the prices EPE's site.  Their more on other sites.

The world economy and ours are going down the tubes.  How can people afford this?  I will never pay $749 for that complete masters.  I have all those
songs.  Now let’s get to the Elvis concerts FTD releases.

How many concerts do you need when they’re basically all the same songs. With all the stuff they release on Elvis since he died.  Who can afford all this?

We have stores that have been offering 50% to 80% to just get people in the stores to shop.  Do you think Sony would offer this kind of deal?  I have the
answer NO.  People are without Jobs they need to feed their families.  This doesn't even feel like an Elvis birthday celebration.  I remember when he would
of turned 50 it really felt like Elvis all over again.

Walmart was promoting a lot of Elvis stuff and you would walk into Walmart and just see all the Elvis displays all over the store.  Now it feels like all they
want to do is make money.  They blotched the "Elvis On Tour" release.  I really feel Elvis would not be happy if he knew his fans had to pay an arm and leg
to get his music.

He loved his fans very much.  Like the Elvis box set "Good Rocking Tonight"(Elvis 75). I could pay between $45-$80 to have it.  But that's stupid.  I have all
the songs.  I hope Elvis is resting in peace he earned it.  I know he's with my lord.

I've just come to the point where I have had it.  The fans need to stop buying this stuff then maybe things will change.  Kind of like a boycott.  Also I'm tired
of making Priscilla, Lisa Marie and her kids rich.  I will celebrate Elvis' passing this week and the rest of the year.  I really miss him and I do love him.  But
there's only so much a person can take.  .

E.E.R provides many hours of listening pleasure each week and it’s great to see all the positive comments the listeners leave but in reality this costs
money. Now I know Lee well enough to know that he doesn’t make any profit from E.E.R, in actual fact Lee runs E.E.R at a loss which doesn’t seem fair to
me. It costs around £85 per month to provide all of us with the many hours of Elvisly delight so how about this for a radical idea, if every listener donates
something, even if it’s one pound to the EER cause then we could continue to get our weekly fix of top EER Elvis listening.

"I can’t afford £1 at the moment" I hear you say? Well no problem donate as and when you can. It’s a fact of life that everything these days cost money and
I for one feel that any financial burden should be eased wherever possible so please help Lee and EER flourish and keep EER as the Elvis station that

Thank you for these great shows.
I have a little complaint regarding the website. For the new addition to Joes bits it says it's a look at Elvis and the TV guides. Elvis has been on more than
40 TV guides since 1956, so I was somewhat disappointed to see just 4.......FOUR!!!???!!! Now I can only assume it's a case of Joe listing the one's that
are worth the most money but can I ask the boss (Please Lee) can maybe add a page of all the TV Guides in the pages that are listed as coming soon with
the banner from the archives? Thanks Lee and fingers crossed, looking forward to the new pages.

Hello Lee
I was just reading through the “Ask Marty” section and I just wondered what you thought about some of the questions that are asked?

I find it quite bizarre that some fans only seem to want to know about negative aspects of Elvis’ life, especially the final years. Some examples of what I
mean are-

“I have that J.D. Sumner wasn't always such a nice guy....what was his problem?”

“I can't help but see many parallels between Britney Spears current state and how Elvis was after 1976.  What I mean by that is that she was once a huge
sex symbol, in amazing shape, etc..., but has lost her sex appeal, some of her talent, and seems reclusive.  Would you agree?  Perhaps her condition is
more mental than was Elvis'?”

“Do you know about all Elvis' health problems?  Did he really have glaucoma, heart disease and I am sure you had to know about his colon problems as he
had enemas with him all the time. Sorry for being so indelicate ,but it is just life.

Also, What was Elvis' real reaction to the book the guys wrote...
I just can't understand what he did each day..how he lived because if he was taking THAT many pills, wasn't he out of a lot?  How could he even function..

Dr. nick has stated the ONLY time Elvis had an 'addiction' was after ghanem him on demerol..but isn't that not quite true?
He also said Elvis was never in control of his own medicines...well..I find THAT hard to believe because he was getting them from other sources...so nick
wasn't controlling everything.”

“I know this is a delicate, hurtful subject to his memory, but did you know Elvis  supposedly wasn't bathing toward the end?”

There are many more but I have become bored of cutting and pasting! Does any true fan need to keep asking such things and frankly by keep harping on
about these subject just instils the picture that the tabloid press like to paint of Elvis.

I don’t want a perfect Elvis world where we all sit around and say what a saint he was and how everything he did was fantastic but I do wish that we as fans
felt an obligation to the memory of Elvis and portrayed him in a positive light. I’m sure that on Lennon forums they don’t say I wonder how much LSD John
took when he wrote Lucy in the sky with diamonds, they just accept he took some and get on with it.

I understand that it is a democratic right to ask anything but I would just like people to think before they ask, just imagine what fun a reporter could have
cobbling together some BS article based on this column. I also don’t think it’s fair to Marty to make him repeat the same kind of answers over and over
again. Accept that Priscilla is a bitch, Parker ripped Elvis off and Elvis was his own worst enemy with food and prescription drugs.

The point of this topic of discussion isn’t to criticise any one individual or Marty for answering them but he must get bored with being asked the same
questions time and time again. Give him the opportunity to reminisce in a positive way just like Tom Jones did today on the Chris Moyles show today.

I would welcome both yours, Joe’s, Marty’s and the fantastic EER listeners comments. Anyway I will get off the soap box now.

Hi Lee and Joe
Fun show last week with you two buddies back together sharing your thoughts on all things Elvis.
That Suspicious Minds remix you played was terrible - no wonder we are not all that enthusiastic about remixes LOL although we are looking forward to
hearing the Viva Elvis ones - this soundtrack cd will bring Elvis to the forefront again - not everyone can get to Vegas to experience the actual show, so this
will be a nice taster for everyone.

What a charmer Bruce is - probably related to Leo - think you should dig out some of those old jingles from the early days of EER...like 'bitch, bitch, bitch'
and 'you are an idiot'- this way you could save your breath to answer the fans who do appreciate you instead of wasting your breath on the negative
morons.

As Elvis's anniversary draws near, it is so hard believe how many years have gone by - we will have to get our thoughts together and send a message for
your Remembering Elvis shows.
Have a good show guys, keep TCBing, Elvis rocking forever Love from Carol and Brenda xx

Hi guys, As you know, we LOVE the show and listen every week and we also love the way that unlike many Elvis sites or shows, you encourage fans to
make comments and to respond to things said on the shows. Well after last week's show we all got to discussing a few issues, and we all agree that
reproducing Elvis autographs, concert posters, record adverts or contracts etc is great so that every fan has a chance to own these things if they want to.
We think it's a wonderful thing for all fans.

You have both discussed many times on the show about how it is unfair for collectors to withhold their unseen or unheard Elvis items so it did come as a
surprise when Joe revealed he also owned some never seen pictures of Elvis.

Dave From Selby
(Regarding The Elvis Request Show)
I, like many fans think that the new opening to On Tour is poor and more than anything else, poorly edited! Lets just hope a 'On Tour' deluxe edition is on
the cards in the next year or two.

The sicko selling the instruments used in Elvis' autopsy must have no morals and be only interested in the money. Sadly we have always had these people
trying to cash in on Elvis. Back in 1982 when I was in Memphis, the Commercial Appeal had a small 'ad' in which the mortuary slab that was used for the
autopsy on Elvis was for sale! Luckily, back then, with no Internet it didn't get much publicity and the media never picked up on it so it stayed un-sold as far
as I know. So the sick bastards have always been around!

Which leads me nicely onto.....Bruce! Is he the love(?) child of Leo? Is he Leo's cell mate? Do they share the same straight jacket? Is Bruce, Leo's alter
ego? OR......has Leo had a sex change and what we thought was Leo was in fact LEONA!!! Has Leo changed his name to Bruce to make himself more
manly? Whatever has happened, one thing is still missing....BALLS! Neither have the balls to use their real names! They must be related as nearly every
nasty message sent to Lee is nearly the same just like it was on a certain MB. Even down to the "you won't play this" crap that usually comes with these
messages is there and of course Lee DOES play the request. Are these messages supposed to stop fans from listening to an ELVIS request show? Or is it
just a jealous individual who just can't stand how popular Lee actually is? I believe it's the later. So...Bruce the Moose, Leona and Leo, you'll now be known,
as the DUMB SHIT TRIO!
EER Rules...OK! Dave from Selby

Thanks for another 3 hours of great Elvis sounds and entertaining Elvis radio.
I was sitting here screaming "IT'S MEMPHIS BEAT...BEAT...BEAT...BEAT" at the PC. Every time Lee said, "I'm sure it's Memphis Beat" and Joe was going,
"Noooo, it's Memphis HEAT" I was jumping up and down lol! Then when the next part started and Joe was all shifty and Lee played the 'Memphis Beat'
promo and then saying he loved the drums on 'Memphis Tennessee' making those drums the Memphis 'Beat', I was laughing so much.

Regarding the nastiness of some people in the Elvis world...this has always made me so angry when I see this or hear about these things and it has always
left me ashamed when I hear of a fan sending abuse to things like E.E.R when all it is doing is bringing enjoyment through the music of Elvis Presley. These
people should put their energy into showing their disgust at these IMPS and not something that does nothing but bring Elvis' voice to other fans without
charging them the earth for doing so.

Oh and Lee, don't worry about having to wait until hell freezes or anything, I have a couple of vary rare pictures of Elvis in the army which I will scan for you
and email them to you

A great show as always and I too have to say that remix of Suspicious Minds was terrible and the new Fever mix from Spankox was a little better, not much
though. I agree that the Viva Elvis mix of Didd'ja Ever Return To Sender was exciting and the drums were really great on it.
I was somewhat shocked when I heard Joe's reply when Lee ask about having scans of his unseen photos of Elvis. This left me a little bewildered I must
say. Regarding the copies of Elvis' autograph or copies of artefacts, I totally agree with Lee as I also love collecting copies of old Elvis items like contracts,
promotional things and I love the sound of the exact copy of the 'Treat Me Nice' prop from 'Jailhouse Rock'.

Question for next week....When Lee was talking about the prop cover, Joe said if he owned the original, he would be really angry if people had copies of it.
My question to that is WHY? He owns the real thing, what does it matter if other fans have a copy of it?

Who the hell was Bruce? And why bother to mail in and to even request a song? This one was really screwed up and highlighted the kind of nasty people
who inhabit the Elvis world. The Remembering Elvis shows sound like they are gonna be great shows full of Elvis classics.

Hey Lee and Joe
Another fantastic show this week!!!!! You guys are just awesome!!!!!! I have to agree with you that Don't be cruel is just a mess and badly edited Johnny b
Goode was such a better opening to On tour I hope its just a rumor but I guess we will see what happens once it gets released. I also have to agree with
you about those sick artifacts that were being auctioned what kind of person would want this auctioned seriously this is just so disrespectful to Elvis I was
glad to see that a few days later that they were removed. Keep rocking and take care!!!

Excellent show this week Lee, and let's hope Joe finds his way to his studio through the labyrinth of his castle lol!
The news about the lack of promotion for Elvis On Tour is pathetic and Lee, how right you are when you say the one day theatre screening will be a flop
thanks to the publicity being so poor or in what you read out, nonexistent! And to hear the news from that fan club leader saying the theatre she was
buying tickets at had more than 90% unsold is ridiculous beyond belief. And again Lee, how right you are that it is unfair of the powers that be to blame the
fans for the poor success when in reality it is their lack of promotion and crazy decisions (like showing TTWII-SE on TV for free days before the DVD/Video
release).
Here's to many more shows.

Hey Lee Great Show this week(On your own hope to hear Joe Next Week!!!) I totally agree with the point that for Elvis to remain big in the 80s he would
have to had dump parker cause he kept Elvis from doing so much better!!!!!! and take a year or 2 off to get back into shape and a world tour.
Also I have a feeling that the Elvis on tour release in the theatres might be a flop cause of the lack of promotion and if it is a flop the people in charge will
blame the fans just like they did for that's the way it is!! You guys should run everything it would be so Awesome!!! Have a great week and take care!!!!

* I have a question on the August 16th anniversary show will we still be able to send in messages in remembering Elvis?
Keep on Rockin!!!!

Yes David, fans will be able to send in messages to be read out on the 'Remembering Elvis' tribute shows

It was brilliant having EER back on a Friday. The weekend was back as it should be with the sounds of Elvis and the boys back on form. The question of if
Elvis' career would have gone on or not was a real tough one because my first reaction was 'OF COURSE HE WOULD HAVE GONE ON TO BE GREATER
THAN EVER' but then after thinking rationally I had to agree with Lee and that was if he was had not died, the only way for Elvis to start to re-build his
career would have been to get rid of Parker and then take a year or 2 off while getting himself back on the rails, loose the weight, find a new manager and
get into the studio and then with Parker out of the way there would be doors open to get better material and then by the turn of the 1980's I think we would
have seen the return of Elvis Presley via a world tour and a new contemporary album with songs written by some of the best writers.

Grrrreat show and as always you are never frightened to tell it how it is. Last week you guys spoke about Elvis on Tour, well Lee, your excitement actually
made me go on and pre-order my copy of the DVD and I also took a look at the new book from Tunzi. Why are all things Elvis so expensive lately?
From this one site the following items...
1. Elvis On Tour JAT Book...
2. FTD King Creole...
3. FTD Good Times Vinyl........3 items total $198.73 and that is without postage.
WHY are we charged so much for things that are in all intensive purposes all released before?

Hey Lee and Joe
This week's comeback show was just awesome!!!!!! I really missed the show over the past month glad you guys are back!!!! I was shocked that Elvis On
Tour is not going to be playing in Tupelo or Memphis because these are two places where Elvis lived and I laughed that on the official Elvis On Tour
website they had a picture of Elvis from that's the way it is, this is the kind of stuff you have to expect from the people in charge.
I was disappointed to see FTD is going to release King Creole as a CD/Book and will be overpriced and the CD features nothing new some of the things
FTD does, puzzles me sometimes. So have a great week guys and take care.
