Elvis Presley 1975 Autograph Hand Signed on 45 Sleeve
"This is the first Elvis Autograph I have ever owned. I bought this from an avid Elvis Dealer/Collector in the early
1980's who ran a record shop in Norfolk Va.  I was told the signature was acquired that afternoon just before
rehearsal at Scope in 1975. I did my research and found out in fact that there was a show on that date in Norfolk and
it was an evening show.I have had this autograph examined with an online appraisal and was valued at $400-600
about 5 years ago. However, all I have is the word of the record store owner and collector I bought it from did not
really know anything about COA's in the 80's when I started collecting Elvis and still don't trust them.."
Even the
seller seemed to have doubts "
all I have is the word of the record store owner and collector I bought it from" and he
was right to. This is a FAKE but  we got sent this too late and it has already been sold with 5 bids and a total of over
$200 but the RESERVE WAS NOT MET. So if you know anyone who is bidding on this......STOP THEM NO!W!

"I PURCHASED THIS SIGNED AUTOGRAPH PHOTO OF 'THE KING' FROM THE STATES BACK IN DECEMBER
2003 FOR A CRHRISTMAS PRESENT TO MYSELF.THIS ITEM COMES WITH TWO CERTIFICATES OF
AUTHENTICATION........PLEASE NO TIME WASTER,."
That is just an excerpt of what this seller writes, but we just
adored the "NO TIME WASTER" comment. How do you tell this guy that he is actually wasting his own time with this
obvious FAKE. Hang on, it comes with not 1 but 2 COA's....oh that's all ok then???????????????
This guy may well be honest and straight up and he could have been the victim himself from the unscrupulous shite
who sold it to him in the first place..
We've said it before and we will say it again and again - AVOID THIS BOGUS AUTOGRAPH!

RARE ONE OF A KIND ACETATES?
Lee & Joe will be talking about this more on the next request show (Fri 26th 2009) but we had to put something up
here to warn fans out there against these suspicious looking acetates.

On ebay we have rare “Acetates” which are not what they seem. First we have ‘When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold
Again’ on the PRESTO label, which is dated Feb 1st 1957. We know that the song was recorded in 1956 and the
song was released on Elvis’ second album “Elvis” in October 1956. So why do we have an acetate for this song
from 1957?...........We DON’T!

This and others like it are nothing more than early CD-Rs. They are “Home Recording Discs” (or VD-R’s = Vinyl Disc
Recordable’). In 1932 Gernsback Publications published a book "Home Recording And All About It", written by
George Saliba. In the book are several references to recording "kits", as produced by the Presto Products Company,
and sold to the home recordist and apparently introduced as early as 1930. There were many discs that were
manufactured during World War Two but never recorded on until the 1960s, and some people are still making
recordings on vintage blank vinyl discs
TODAY!

There were many other labels that produced VD-Rs apart from the ‘PRESTO’, one of these is ‘AudioDiscs’ and even
RCA produced these home recording discs, so if an Elvis song turns up on one of these, that will cause some
confusion and no doubt another poor fan paying way over the odds for a pretty worthless disc.

Although, one BIG give-away is the double hole or in some cases up to 5 holes, which are used to hold these VD-R'
steady as they spin round while recording. An example is a copy of 'Milkcow Blues Boogie' which has no label but
has the tell, tell 2 holes of a VD-R and just as with ‘When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again’ this will be the master
take and nothing more special than a copy from the real release.

Recently there was one of these “acetates” sold on ebay which had ‘Treat Me Nice’ on it. This too had a double hole
and housed in a ‘AudioDiscs’ sleeve and sold for over $1,000. ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS for some worthless
early day CD-R.

We have no doubt that many fans have paid big money for these supposed “acetates” over the years but we can
now only hope you will go out and spread the word about these VD-R’s and beware of these multi-hole personal
recording discs being passed off as rare acetates.

Just to make you aware, the 1955 recordings 'Fool, Fool, Fool' and 'Shake Rattle & Roll' were on a 'PRESTO' disc
which was used to capture these performances by a radio DJ in Lubbock, Texas. The DJ simply set up the
recording equipment, positioned the microphone and thankfully we have that treasure. This type of Elvis recording
on a VD-R is obviously a find that really is worth £££££££s & $$$$$$$$$s, but all these other "acetates" on these
discs with more than one hole are nothing more than someone making an early copy of a song for their personal
enjoyment.

Lee and Joe will be discussing this more on Fridays show and will update any more details

Elvis Presley's Custom Built Gold Cadillac
This monstrosity has been around for a few years now and it's about time it took it's rightful place on the F.B.E.I's
Most Un-Wanted. This 1965 Cadillac Eldorado was customised by George Barris and (so he claims) Elvis Presley?
But we have serious doubts about this claim that this was to be Elvis' "Dream Car".
According to Mr Barris, Elvis died before his "dream car" could be completed. But Elvis died in 1977 right! Why would
he have bought a car that was 12 years old? Would he not have a new car customised? Or are we to assume that
Elvis and George Barris had worked on this for the past 12 years?
But lets put those questions aside...Yes, Elvis did have some unique tastes in style but this car is pure undiluted
tacky yuckness. From the plastic guitar by the back seats or the guitar shaped sun visors to the fluffy dice hanging
from the rear view mirror or the........oh there is just too much tat on this car to make it anything to do with Elvis
Presley. This car is way more suited to one of the many tacky Elvis IMPS than the real thing.

ELVIS PRESLEY SIGNED LP COVER "HOW GREAT THOU ART"
"THIS ITEM COMES DIRECTLY FROM THE ESTATE OF PAMELA PARKER, PRESLEY'S FORMER SECRETARY.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF HER SIGNED LETTER FROM PAMELA TO CERTIFY IT'S AUTHENTICITY.
ON STATIONARY WITH HER PERSONAL LETTERHEAD THE NOTE STATES: "ALL THE MEMORABILIA I SOLD YOU

HEALTH, HOW MUCH IN A HURRY HE WAS.  THE "E" & "L" ARE SOMETIMES SEPARATE & SOMETIMES OVER
LAPPED; ALSO THE "Y" ON "PRESLEY" IS SOMETIMES MORE .....OUT THAN OTHERS. THIS AUCTION ALSO
INCLUDES THE '72 ELVIS BACKSTAGE PASS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS!"
This is another one of those "Yeah Right"
moments. Here we have a signed album (NOT), with a convenient letter giving excuses as to why this autograph
might not look like other Elvis autographs lol. But to make you feel better about it you are offered a 1972 backstage
pass, which by the way is even faker than the autograph. You can buy these worthless pieces of bogus trash for the
minimal price of just £2,993.00 [US$5,000.00]

Elvis Presley autograph Elvis in El Paso Live NR
Yes this does look familiar, we listed this before [FBEI #00169] but we have listed it again as the seller now has an
extra goodie to give away with the fake autograph.
"Original Elvis signed program folio from Live in El Paso concert,
June 2nd 1976 Evening show. Also included is this snakeskin purse worn only once to the show."
No, it's not some joke, you can own the very bag that was at the concert in 1976 and the bag which was there when
the concert photo folio was signed....talk about owning a piece of Rock N Roll history?
We can say that the bag is a real bag but the autograph is far from being real. We quarantine this vile stinking bogus
fake and advise fans to stand clear while laughing at the idea of this one.

THE WORLDS RAREST ELVIS SINGLE
This rarest of rare records is currently on ebay. 'I'll Be Back' (RCA 4-834-115) 1966 White Label, 45rpm single sided.
Label reads: 'For Special Academy Consideration Only'. Made for submission to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts
and Sciences. Identification #TPKM-5313-1S, Elvis Presley with The Jordanaires. Few were originally made, and
fewer still survived. In fact many collectors are of the opinion that just TWO survive.

In our pictures you will see that the top image shows the label of one that we know is real and then the smaller 2
images are repro's. You will notice that on the real one, there is a groove that runs around the centre of the label
which is not on the repro.

THEN in the image below we have the real one (left) alongside the repro and what you will see is the difference
between the 2 is the length of the track on the record. The trail-off on the real one is very narrow compared to the
more modern FAKE copy that some unscrupulous dealers will happily try to sell for hundreds, if not thousands.

The current FAKE being sold on ebay starts bids at £300 [US$500] but you can buy it now for £9,250.00 [US$15,000]
which is of course criminal and we hope this information will be spread around and together we can stop fellow
fans from being ripped off.

Elvis Presley Autographed Record! LPM-2075
"Like the rest of the records I'm currently selling and have sold in recent weeks, this was also pulled from my
mother's personal collection, WITH SERIOUS RELUCTANCE. You see, this copy of Elivs Gold Records Volume 2
was signed by the king of rock and roll himself. Item was signed in person in Las Vegas many moons ago, so
there's NO COA I can provide, however for this price you definitely don't want to miss your chance to own a rare item
like this one"
Things just get worse and worse don't they! This "THING" is obviously not the pen-man-ship of a
certain Mr Elvis A. Presley.
It's a certainty that we will never see an end to fake Elvis autographs but as long as they are all as terrible as this
one then we have nothing to worry about fans getting ripped off.

DETAILED RHINESTONE AND SILVER AND GOLD STUD OUTFIT!"
NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!.......And again NO!
At most this MAY BE, at most, a secretarial signed note but what ever it is, it's certainly not a hand signed message
from Elvis Presley. The ONLY good thing at this time is that there is a few hours left on this auction with 8 bids and it
has only at £20.00 [US$34.00], which is still way too much but it could be worse

REPRODUCTIONS OF ARTIFACTS
All these items are currently on ebay being sold by the same person. While these are all advertised as reproductions, they are all
taken from a book which was released called 'The Elvis Treasures'.
This is something that is a pet hate of ours as we do not like how some dealers will dismantle something in an attempt to make
extra cash by selling off the parts individually.
We hope no fans will pay anything near OTT prices and advise all reading this to go out and locate the 'Treasures' book to get all
these goodies in one place and one price.

Of note is this seller has featured here before trying to pass off a concert scarf which was just another EPE TM product.

We have been sent this by one of our listeners who was sent this via email from someone asking $400.00 USD or best

If we were being pushed to make an offer it would be no more than £2 (being very generous) for this sleeve. As far as
we know there is no record with it? Either way, this sleeve has been ruined by someone writing Sincerely Elvis Presley
all over the words 'In The GHETTO'.

YEP, we have featured this record before but it seems there is still people out there who still think that this is actually the
voice of Elvis Presley...............
IT IS NOT! Once again it is Jimmy 'Orion' Ellis performing this song that was a poor
attempt (well to most) to pass it off as a long lost Elvis recording. Much like 'Save The Last Dance For Me' duet with Jerry Lee
Lewis and again, Jimmy 'Orion' Ellis.

Signed Elvis Presley
"Hi, and welcome to my auction for a genuine hand signed Elvis Presley record. I have owned this for a few years now, im
not a huge Elvis fan and was bought on the spur of the moment kind of thing.  It would be a great addition to anyone's Elvis
collection.."
We have had one of these jokes on the F.B.E.I before. This is a FAKE Elvis autograph and is nothing more than a totally
bogus con job. Not saying the seller knows, he may well have been conned himself but either way this is a worthless
piece of junk as the actual album is ruined by the FAKE signature. If you want to know why it's a fake, simple. This
particular 'Double Dynamite' issue was released in the UK in 1980 (3 years AFTER Elvis died). What traps most
fraudster's is the original U.S. release of this album was in 1975.
The starting bid for this is £250.00 or you can buy it now for £595.00 PLUS £20.00 postage BUT please don't as the real

ELVIS PRESLEY JACKET
"Up for bid, we have a Elvis Presley red holloway jacket. We believe this jacket was worn by Elvis Presley or someone in
his entourage. There is a story about this jacket. This jacket changed hands at least 3 times since it was around Elvis.
The jacket was giving to a young lady in Florida that worked or sung with Elvis. We are not sure about the date. The jacket
was then giving to a close friend of this lady in Florida around 20 years ago and around 15 years ago it was giving to the
mother of a friend of mine. About 15 years ago they looked into finding out whether this was all fact and they were 95 %
sure it was."
This must be the Frankenstein Monster version of the TCB tour jackets. Someone has taken a Holloway jacket and tried,
to make their very own tour jacket, complete with Elvis on the back and even a nice RCA records badge on the front.
We do love the opening gambit, saying they believe this jacket was "worn by Elvis Presley or someone in his entourage".

Once again we come across a ridiculous attempt to pass something off  that it is NOT what it seems. This is NOT a real tour
jacket and the concert backstage pass is a homemade, worthless piece of nothing. This is not the first bogus item from this
particular seller and we are absolutely certain it will not be the last.
The starting bid for this is £61.17 [US$99.99] or you can save time and buy it now for £165.17 [US$269.99 PLUS postage.

No, we have not forgotten to change the sales pitch from the one below. Well, this is from the same old seller and with
these jackets starting to look like the previous one we can only assume that the seller is making these themselves?
However, one thing is 100% certain, these jackets are NOT from any Elvis tours, they were NEVER worn or produced for
any of Elvis Presley's concert tours or the personnel involved with any of those tours.
The starting bid for this is £61.79  [US$99.99] or you can save time and buy it now for £166.85 [US$269.99 PLUS postage.
